I guess this is goodbye 😭 Thank you, Haggerty. ❤️ No matter where baseball takes you next, I'll always be grateful for every game, every smile, and every moment you gave us. It won't be the same without you, but I'll always be rooting for you. #SamHaggerty #AllforTX @Rangers

@skostyboi I emailed them and haven't heard back yet on a refund but if and when I do I'll let you know what they say. If I don't get one I'm going to contact my bank and dispute the charge.

Jared, I appreciate you taking the time to listen because I know none of this is your fault. My frustration has never been with you or the broadcast team. My frustration is with the lack of transparency from the Rangers organization. Fans were blindsided in the middle of the season, during the All-Star break, by a change that was clearly the result of an ongoing issue between the Rangers and Victory+. Instead of communicating with fans ahead of time, many of us woke up to find out the way we had already paid to watch games had suddenly changed. For those of us with older, non-smart TVs and Roku devices, there really wasn't a reasonable option. I don't have cable, so watching on The CW isn't an option either. Moving to an app that doesn't even support many of the devices fans already own until August or September left a terrible taste in a lot of people's mouths. It's also hard to ignore that Neil Leibman has ties to BZZR. Whether or not that was the reason for the move, it undeniably benefits him by driving traffic to an app that still feels underdeveloped and hasn't even proven it can reliably handle a Rangers broadcast. On top of that, there was no option for a partial or full refund for fans who prepaid for the season. I emailed support requesting one and have been met with complete silence. This was just the breaking point for me. Between the offseason decisions, inconsistent game-day policies at the ballpark, the way certain players were handled this season, and now this streaming mess, it feels like one frustration after another. It has honestly taken a lot of the joy out of being a Rangers fan this year.

I'll continue to read your tweets & understand your frustrations while pouring everything I have into being the best broadcaster I can be—telling this team's stories and helping Rangers fans feel connected to the club, both on the air & thru social media.
Jared Sandler@JaredSandler

For Rangers fans for whom watching games has been made more difficult by the streaming switch, I’m genuinely sorry. People are working very hard to expedite convenience in response to this unfortunate situation. I’ve read your tweets and feel your frustration.

@GoDragonsTX @RangersSNtv You have to email support@victoryplus.com to request a refund but I did that two days ago and still haven't back so I'll likely have to call my bank and dispute the charge since I'm not getting what I paid for.

I contacted the support@bzzr txrangers@bzzr and support@victoryplus and haven't heard back from any of them. I know they all have to be bombarded so I'm giving them until tomorrow afternoon them I'm contacting my bank to see if I can dispute the charges. Might be a shot in the dark but at this point I don't have anything to lose.

This is exactly where a lot of my frustration comes from. The issue was never just switching platforms, it was how it was handled. Fans prepaid for a full season on Victory+, then got blindsided in the middle of the season with no warning, no comparable replacement for many devices, and no automatic refund or compensation offered. The Rangers may not control every detail, but they chose this path, and fans are the ones paying for it.

My take on the pivot to BZZR? It always falls back on the organization. Texas could have let MLB handle streaming its games, and fans wouldn’t be dealing with any of this. Instead, the Rangers chose the path with greater financial upside, and that bet failed. The Rangers have a transparency problem. Far too often, they play things close to the chest, and this situation is no different. Blindsiding fans with this news over the All-Star break just ain’t it. And make no mistake, moving everyone over to BZZR isn’t the Rangers doing fans a favor. It’s the very least they could do after their own streaming model created a problem that better foresight could have avoided entirely.

It's funny how some people have spent more energy trying to invalidate my frustrations than it would've taken to just scroll past. I'm just expressing my opinion and cheering for Haggerty.

When I've spoken about a refund on other replies I've said partial refund. In my email I asked for a partial refund understanding I watched half a season. Unfortunately I haven't heard back from victory+ and am giving it time as I'm sure they are bombarded. I also am not holding my breath for a refund through them because do I believe a company that couldn't pay teams like the Rangers or Anaheim Ducks will refund me? No, but I am still going through the proper channels first and if by Friday I haven't received a reply I will be contacting my bank to dispute the charges.

@haggertymuse @tnowers94 To be fair, they should prorate you a refund as you did use the service for over half the season. Still, terrible idea to do this in middle of season.

I prepaid $150 for Victory+ back in November because it was advertised as the home of Rangers baseball. I paid months in advance with the expectation that I'd be able to watch the entire season on my TV. Then, in the middle of the season, the Rangers decide to move to BZZR—a service that doesn't even have a Roku app until August or possibly September. So what are fans like me with older TVs and Roku devices supposed to do? We're told to watch on a PC, a phone, or buy a Chromecast. That's not what I paid for. I paid to watch Rangers baseball on my TV, just like I have all season. Even worse, there was no partial refund, no credit, and no option for customers who can no longer access the service they prepaid for. You changed the product after taking our money and just expect us to deal with it. This is a terrible way to treat loyal fans. If enough people feel the same way, make your voices heard. Contact BZZR support at support@bzzr.com and let them know this rollout is unacceptable. Fans shouldn't have to buy new hardware in the middle of the season because the Rangers changed streaming platforms. @BZZROfficial @victoryplustv @Rangers @RangersSNtv

I've been frustrated with this ownership group long before this streaming fiasco. This was just the final straw for me. It started in the offseason with how the whole Bochy situation was handled, then watching Mike Maddux and Beasley leave. They knew the offense was a problem after 2025 and did next to nothing to address it. Instead, they added subpar pitching, re-signed Chris Martin, and somehow decided Justin Viele should stay as hitting coach after an offense that already couldn't hit while he was on staff. Then the season starts and... surprise... the offense still can't hit. We've watched questionable roster decisions all year, certain players get endless opportunities while others are gone after barely getting a chance. The way Haggerty was handled coming back from bereavement didn't sit right with me either. Now we get to the streaming mess. I understand this happened because Victory wasn't paying the Rangers. I get that. But the fans are the ones taking the hit for a business dispute we had nothing to do with. We prepaid for a full season expecting to watch games the way they were advertised, only to have everything changed halfway through the season. No comparable alternative for everyone, no transparency, and no compensation offered. That's not how you treat the people who support your team. None of these things by themselves would've pushed me over the edge. It's the pattern. One questionable decision after another, on and off the field. Whether it's baseball operations or business decisions, it feels like the fans are always the ones left paying the price for mistakes that aren't ours.

@haggertymuse Why is it so hard to put our favorite baseball team on a big boy network or service @Rangers. This ownership group absolutely sucks. Lucked into the ‘23 championship performance bc of heroic performances. I hate this group, period.

My TV works just fine with the Roku I already own. Why should I create more e-waste and spend hundreds of dollars replacing a perfectly good TV because a streaming service changed platforms halfway through the season? You call my TV a dinosaur, but the new platform doesn't even have apps on many smart TVs or streaming devices yet. Seems the platform, not my TV, is what's stuck in the Stone Age. 🔥

@Texdale Their definition of "soon" is August or September meaning I miss out on it for the rest of July, however long it takes them to get a Roku app in August if they even do or if it runs into September.

My TV is from 2009. There isn't anything "smart" about it anymore. The only thing it has is a Roku, and that's how I've watched Victory+ all season. I can't Chromecast to it. My only other option is some sketchy third-party casting app that may or may not work, while tying up my phone for three hours every game. Sure, I could go buy a Fire Stick, but why should I have to spend even more money? I already paid $150 upfront for a subscription that worked with the equipment I had. Halfway through the season they changed the service, removed that compatibility, and never offered subscribers the choice of a refund or compensation. I've already emailed Victory+ asking for a refund and, so far, they've been completely silent. So right now I'm just out $150 and being told to spend even more money to keep watching. That's the part people seem to keep missing.

But you’ll be able to LIVE CHAT…. They got me too. I re-upped my sub to Victory+ in March before the season. Paid the full year subscription price. Then in July (halfway through the regular season) the .@RangersSNtv do this to the fans. .@Rangers knew this long before they got me for 150.00$. Why was subscribers to Victory Plus not told about the financial turbulence AND that the Texas Rangers were working on a plan to make the switch at mid season? I should have been given a choice to continue. Like you My LG Smart TV doesn’t have the BZZR App. Read that this company is partially owned by a member of the Rangers Investors. Now I’m back to the same point I was when the Rangers left Bally’s and that shitshow, chromcast from my IPad,Laptop, cellphone or PC. The problem I have is it’s a take it or leave it deal. .@Evan_P_Grant has said if you’re a subscriber to Victory+ you’re automatically enrolled in BZZR and will get an email with instructions but that’s not the issue. Looks like old Dinosaurs like me who just want to turn on the TV and watch Baseball are forced to chase them all over the internet again. .@Dodgers or the .@Yankees treat their fans like this.
