@TheEconomist Ukrainian here, I agree with her, people who want Ukraine to fight indefinitely (or till the ever receding and unlikely full Russia's collapse) either don't care about the future of Ukrainian people or didn't think about it

@hanma_jack37331 @sahbei30 @watn_tarnation Yeah, and the point is that its not inherently virtous to be entirely group-oriented Telling your group they are doing shit or their political views are shit and need to change is sometimes very necessary

the beauty of committed racists is they have to force themselves to hate just about everything in society to be ideologically consistent. Fighting for a world only like 12 people want. Somehow more delusional than 16 year old anarchists

@Tachtra_e @sahbei30 @watn_tarnation If we are talking racial or ethnic group, the belonging to said group is decided by shared ancestry (which affects skin color). Someone who has a different skin color is (with very high chance) just not a member of the group, it's not a triviality.

@sahbei30 @watn_tarnation When you are in a mob you want other members to be loyal and stand by each other. If we are talking relative virtue, it's always virtuous and beneficial from the group's perspective. Objectively you can say it's bad to be an egoist and to not care about your group

@hanma_jack37331 @watn_tarnation The mob is in-group oriented. Street gangs are in-group oriented. Being in-group oriented isn’t a virtue in itself when the in-group is acting solely for its own aggrandizement

@eurochallenges @chromotorque @ScionPen Ukrainian commanders are retarded who issue orders on retaking the lost positions daily (not to upset the higher ups), so instead of defensive battles Ukrainians are fighting counter offensive battles with high losses.

Multiple sources I trust confirm the average KIA on russian side is 4K/week (500 UKR), that’s the highest number since the start of the war. And it has been going on for months. All this to conquer small villages leveled by artillery. What’s the ROI here?

@Davey2028 "Um, there was 2 years of zero inflation in 1960 which correlated with 0.5% GDP drop and unemployment rate increase from 5.2% to 5.6% so we decided that it's preferable to have a Ponzi scheme and a currency that depreciates forever"

Sigh. Here we go again. Ukraine *is* thinking in terms of human victory: that’s why it’s not conducting the meat-grinder assaults that the Russians do; that’s why it’s trying to liberate occupied territories where the Russians are de-Ukrainizing the population with genocidal practices (and, apparently, intended to mobilize males to fight fellow Ukrainians, a war crime in itself); that’s why it’s defending desperately the rest of Donetsk — giving up Slovyansk-Kramatosk means the Russians get into operational open space toward Kyiv; that’s why it’s been defending its cities with every air defense the niggardly West has been willing to give; that’s why it’s been asking for real security guarantees to deter the Russians from trying to extinguish it again even if they were to agree to a ceasefire now; that’s why it has declared readiness for a ceasefire along the line of control that the Russians have been rejecting; These takes are so idiotic — it isn’t up to the Ukrainians to make peace at current Kremlin demands. The Russians want to extinguish Ukraine as a sovereign state. They are demanding the subjugation of the country. What, in the world, does this “Ukrainian scholar of India” has to say about any of that? Does she have a magic way to get the Russians to reduce their demands? Because if so, she should be pitching her miraculous solutions to the Russians, not publish asinine garbage in The Economist.

Being pro-Palestine and pro-Ukraine is the default liberal position. In my upcoming video, I’ll explain why this position makes zero sense and why if you’re anti-Israel you should also be 100% anti-Ukraine. They’re the same thing.

Kinda fascinating the way seemingly every European country now has their own collection of right wing e-grifters selling doom narratives to an almost exclusively American audience
Eva Vlaardingerbroek@EvaVlaar

The most liberal, pro-immigration, pro-EU party of The Netherlands officially won the elections, even though mass migration was the #1 concern of the average Dutch voter. How is that possible? Legacy media manipulation. May this serve as a warning sign for the rest of the right-wing in Europe. Our newly gained ground can be taken away from us if we underestimate the power of the legacy media apparatus. That’s why it’s of such crucial importance that someone like @GenFlynn is fighting for true journalism and independent media. Thank you, General.
