Your Mac can hold down the fort while you work from your phone.
Enable remote connection in the Codex desktop app, then turn on “Keep this Mac awake.”
When your Mac is powered on and plugged in, Codex can keep running there while you work from the ChatGPT mobile app.

Thanks for the feedback on Codex in the ChatGPT mobile app. While it’s in preview, we’re working to improve it fast. What you can expect next: push notifications, /fork, ability to restore after revoking, better reconnects, fixing the ability to control other devices, fewer mobile thread errors, better git diff & full-file, no plan mode issues, and lots more polish/bug fixes.

The most underrated thing about this launch is that we provide a near parity experience with the codex desktop app. Not a single thread or session - exactly where you left off.

hey @OpenAI @sama @thsottiaux could we get some way to unpair a device in codex on ios? i revoked permission from my mac because something wasnt working, but now i cant even disconnect it on my phone so its just stuck and not working

Inline prompt improvement - I know you can do this by simply asking 5.5 for an improved prompt but would be great to have something optimized inline.

The more people that benefit from AI, the better.
I would estimate that globally, society is currently experiencing <1% of the benefits that AI could be delivering. That % gets smaller with every new model release.
We’re so early in adoption and deployment. We’re in a fierce competition, but there are no losers here.
People always seem hesitant to tell me they use models or products from other labs. To be honest, I’m just glad to hear they are using new tools, and I’m curious to hear how their experience could be even better.
