@hannyhusker @TheCinesthetic I was asking a question. You came in swinging like the question actually offended you. For someone seemingly so offended it’s funny that you can’t prove what you are telling me is true. I could care less either way. It was a question 😂. Hopefully you don’t beat your wife today.

@StandardCause @TheCinesthetic Do you not know how this stuff works? I guess I can’t prove it. So you can go on believing what you want. But I can assure you the interview has been done for quite sometime.

@TheCinesthetic Did 60 minutes decide to do this because of the criticism? Or was this in the works before that?

@TheCinesthetic This kind of marketing push smells funny. Makes me think that it's not going to be very good. I've seen these many times before.

A Christopher Nolan movie is a spectacle, big and loud and at the limits of what’s possible. His new film, “The Odyssey," has been shot on IMAX and is Nolan’s most ambitious yet. It had to be, he told us, because he imagines every film is the last he will ever make. Sunday on 60 Minutes.

There are people, right now, who think that The Odyssey had to have a racial minority in the main cast in order to be nominated for an Oscar. They literally think that. A normal person cannot grasp how stupid these people are. You'd have to eat so much lead.

@Variety Because it's an embarrassment and cultural appropriation to use Greek mythology without involving any Greek. This is not diversity! it's erasure of white culture!

@TexasZachIsBack @LauraRbnsn Well she’s an Oscar winning actress who is far more qualified to be in just the one or two scenes she will be in. And she’s beautiful.

@LauraRbnsn Why do you think a black woman was cast as Helen of Troy, a character who is supposed to depict a 7th century BC Greek princess who is born in Sparta?

My 2 cents on the Lupita Nyong’o Odyssey debate: I think Christopher Nolan set Lupita Nyong’o up by casting her as Helen of Troy. This was always going to create controversy because Helen is one of the most iconic figures in Greek mythology. It’s similar to how many Black people would react if a white actor was cast to play Shaka Zulu or Nelson Mandela. People become protective over historical and cultural figures they strongly associate with their identity. In my opinion race swapping in stories so tied to a specific culture can sometimes feel forced and ends up creating unnecessary backlash, division and even racism instead of focusing on the actual performance.
