Posted a property on Magicbricks a few days ago.
Got a call from Magicbricks number (flagged as spam) — “Prashanth” claimed to be a buyer.
Background noise sounded like a call centre. When I asked if he works for Magicbricks, he denied it, said he’s an individual, wanted to buy property.
Refused to share his personal number. Said he’ll text. Never did.
2 hours later, Magicbricks called saying a buyer is interested — but I need to buy a subscription to access the details.
This is how fake demand is created to push users into paid plans.

Whoever is telling that Hyderabad is empty hasn’t stepped out on the roads!
Except for regular school & college traffic, everything is the same. Even most offices are functioning normally.
A few lakh cars off the Hyderabad roads doesn’t mean the city is empty. This is a Megacity now with more than a crore people living here and 1-2 percent going away for festival doesn’t make much difference.
After reading news stories & media reports like these went to Kukatpally yesterday afternoon and it was full. Yes, there are a wee bit less madness on the roads but it is still the same insanely crowded Kukatpally. A cousin went to shop and gave up & got back home because every place is so full!
It is a stretch to say that Hyderabad is empty when settler dominant areas like Kukatpally & Manikonda are still crowded.
