At 19, I was farming MMO gold and selling MP3s online. At 37, I lead product at a $M ARR SaaS used by thousands of ecom brands.

My approach is simple: Organic content → Validate demand → Run ads → Scale. Use TikTok as your first filter. It's much cheaper than paying for every lesson yourself.

Too many founders do the opposite. They launch a product. Run ads immediately. Then hope the market likes it. That's an expensive way to do product validation.

If I had $5,000 and had to start a Shopify store from scratch today, here's exactly what I'd do: Not Meta first. Not Google. I'd start with TikTok.

When I named the product TrueProfit, it wasn't just a brand name. It was a promise. I had experienced what it was like to make decisions using inaccurate profit numbers. So from day one, @trueprofit_io committed to three things: • Focus on net profit. • Make the data accurate. • Keep the product fast and lightweight. Those principles still guide every feature we build today.

5 TOF ad concepts you NEED to test: - AI UGC - Pixar animation - VSL - Podcast - Skeleton animation Make them long-form (2 min+) and focus deeply on the problem aware up to unaware stage. Will not be the ads with the best ROAS but a KEY element inside the full ad account to get new audiences inside the funnel. Remember to always look at your blended NC ROAS. Attribution is mostly on lower-funnel ads because they drive the conversion, but TOF is KEY for education.

$0-$1mil With Ecom - Day 284 Stayed at home pretty much the whole day today, and scripted 5 different video scripts today. Getting some interior work done on my car tomorrow so I'm actually excited for that lol. Margins and ROAS today super healthy, but our previous winners in the old ad account aren't the new winners we have now. Some completely different ads have taken spend and become our new top spending winners. Did some research on the new supplement brand I'm launching with my creative strategist and launched some natives taking some big ass swings. Trying to focus more on TOF ads, problem aware and unaware because we literally don't have a strong TOF yet. Because we basically restarted everything. So going all in on natives and tof vsl's. God bless.

4 months in Scaled past $500k / month Things we've done: - increased creative output - onboarded new creators every week - hired an ad creative agency & email agency - read reviews, ad comments and customer service tickets manually to actually understand the customer - made ads that drive real TOF (net new vistors) - tested prices & offers (we actually increased prices AND shipping costs) - negotiated better pricing with our manufacturer and 3PL due to increased volume Things we haven't done: - added new marketing channels - discussed ad account structures - built custom dashboards - launched new products (too early) - raised money or taken on debt Q4 gonna be sweet 😃

1 month in Hit 6 figs which is nice but nothing impressive yet Also having some stock and product issues Good signs: First retention orders are already coming in, don't even have post-purchase flows set up 🤦‍♂️ That gave us conviction to lower our target nc roas and scale at break-even now Will wait for 3 months to get better LTV data before dropping efficiency targets further Also found a new offer that performs better, will continue testing this as this is one of the biggest levers Next up to scale further: - 10x on the angles, formats and lp’s that are already working - Add middle and bottom of funnel ads - missing this right now - Setup proper flows in Klaviyo - Launch Google Ads

How do I know if a Shopify business is healthy? I look at net profit margin. Around 15–20% is generally a healthy place to be. Revenue can be inflated. Orders can be bought with discounts. Clicks don't pay the bills. Net profit tells you what's actually left.

New country already taking off like wildfire. First 5 days: €3k days → €40k days. This is what one right influencer does.

Unpopular opinion: Revenue doesn't tell you whether your Shopify store is healthy. Net profit does. A store with a 25% net margin has far more room to scale than one making 5%, even if both generate the same revenue. Growth without margin is fragile. Remember: What you track shapes what you optimize.
