@adrianmckinty This movie you need 2 see on a big screen, surrounded by other viewers in the dark. If you give it a chance, the movie is about the slow process of seeing. Yes, protagonist is a prick, but he’s a photographer who learns to slow down, see, put images together to see the murder.

watched Blow-Up on the plane back to NYC Antonioni really knows how to put off the viewer: the lead is a prick, the film starts w a bunch of mimes & its slow Blow-Up, however, is a crime masterpiece - strange, beautiful, existential w a cameo by Jimmy Page & the Yardbirds! 👍

He was the epitome of a triple threat. He could sing (duet with Luther Vandross) he could act (movie with Billy Crystal) and he is one of the greatest tap dancers of all time. I have always been a huge fan.

Carl Banks may not always get the spotlight, but on the field, he was a powerhouse. Known for his speed, strength, and football IQ, Banks was a cornerstone of the New York Giants’ defense during the 1980s and early 1990s. A key player in their Super Bowl victories, he made big plays quietly, letting his game speak for itself. Truly one of the greats who deserves to be remembered.

@DannyDeraney She is so good in this role, raw, real, totally human. Perrine did s lot of good work that went unrecognized. She was in a PBS production of Steambath. She showed an incredible range as an actress. 🔥🔥🔥

God speed Valerie Perrine. Just about perfect in every picture she was in. Perhaps none better than her performance in Lenny for which she was nominated for an Oscar.

@CoolOldSports Maravich was one of the best pure shooters in NBA history. Lit up my Knicks for 68 pts. in 1977. Before the 3 pt. line existed. He is still the NCAA all-time leading scorer. BTW, he also had mad skills as a ball handler and passer, up there with Oscar Robertson and other greats.

@shannonlada Some context please. During the 1950s, Kazan named names during the HUAC hearings, destroying careers and lives. Those named were blacklisted in Hollywood and could not work under their own name for 20 years. Arthur Miller, also called before the committee, refused to name names.

@CinemaTweets1 It’s not about snubs. Not about feelings. The Oscars are the biggest trade show for the motion picture industry in the world. Last night, the best actor celebrated was MBJ, who richly deserved it, and has for many years.

Another year, another Leonardo DiCaprio snub. I’m trying to balance two feelings right now: I’m happy as hell for Michael B. Jordan. But man…it’s hard not to wonder how Leo doesn’t have multiple #Oscars at this point. He wasn’t even nominated here for Killers of the Flower Moon.
