@TMFScottP Just go with the line from Dirty Harry - "Ah that's one thing about our Harry, doesn't play any favourites! Harry hates everybody."

I've told you lot before! I'm a hopeless LNP shill who hates everything the PM does *and* I'm an 'ideologically captured progressive'. The sooner you can all accept my hopeless(ly oxymoronic) bias for *and* against both Labor and the LNP, the sooner we can all move on!

@taipan168 Possibly, but then again Iran continued to state right up until yesterday that it wasn't in any negotiations with the US. Bit like Baghdad Bob claiming there were no US troops in Iraq - as the tanks were rolling into town behind him

@hazard3511 I think that at this stage, Trump is so desperately keen to end the war without committing ground troops that he'd agree to almost anything.

Ceasefire is obviously good news, but if this is the 10-point plan on which it has been based and will be the basis for a longer-term peace, then Iran has played an absolute blinder.

@taipan168 My only issue is how someone of such lowly rank was able to do all this without any form of challenge or disciplinary action at the time. It's either a dramatic failure of leadership or the real responsibility lies further up the food chain.

Whilst he is entitled to the presumption of innocence and a fair trial, it is the sign of a strong civil society that a decorated soldier like Ben Roberts-Smith has been investigated and has now been charged. smh.com.au/national/ben-r…

Lincoln vs. Trump. It might be hard to work out which is which, but if you try, you might be able to work it out.

@TMFScottP It's not always straight forward Scott, I agree with it in principle, but there are always complications. There's the case of Graeme Wylie, where his de facto wife decided to euthanase him, but other family members were not in agreement. smh.com.au/national/mercy…

If we're truly a caring society, this is a no-brainer. VAD is a huge step forward, but it's not enough for those with dementia, and their families.

@taipan168 Whilst I take your point, it is also true that 15% of India's population are Muslims

An uncomfortable truth for those idiots telling me that we are being "swamped by Muslims/Africans/whatever". The top 5 countries of birth for migrant arrivals in 2024-25 were India, China, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. #country-of-birth" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">abs.gov.au/statistics/peo…

@spartnochian @Ryandally08 It's just old footage from the 9th October 2023 march to the Opera House being rehashed for the 3rd or 4th time like it was an event that happened yesterday.

@Peter_Fitz The only reason he's signed to Rugby is because he cannot play Rugby League due to his own and his manager's greed, stupidity and incompetence, not because of any great desire to do so. It's his only option apart from sit on his ass or improve his Golf hcp for the next 2 years.

@razkhan789 The joy of cricket is still there, just don't watch 20/20, it's children's cricket

@PaulTatnell The problem is size. When I was amongst my Dad's mates, none of them were 6 foot tall, some were 5'6 or 5'7. Now when I look at my 17 year old's mates, they're almost all 6 foot tall. Hard to be that tall and be 55kg or less.

@SpartacusOfMelb @AvidCommentator Saw a post from last year’s Federal election, only around 70% of ON voter’s preferences flowed through to the LNP, not sure who’d preference the ALP having voted for ON, but there you go.

@AvidCommentator What is crazy is ONP + Libs total is greater than ALP+Greens and they still give two party preferred to ALP. Something is wrong with this poll

@melindafarrell I played cricket for 35 years, love following cricket all over the world, but the vast majority of the guys I know and played with over that time have almost zero interest in 20/20 cricket.

This is in no way a reflection on my excellent Australian colleagues, who do what they can with the space given to them, but being here for this T20WC only reinforces the feeling that Australian cricket culture is the most insular I’ve experienced around the world.

The Libs will be feeling much more comfortable. A white, private school educated man is back in charge, God’s in his heaven and all is right with the world…until they leave the party room. Good luck chaps. You’re going to need it.

@macsween_prue @LiberalAus The election is in 2 years and 3 months, Hastie will keep his powder dry until closer to the date, just like Tony Abbot did in the lead up to the 2010 election
