After late action in Guam, the @FCC's 2.5 GHz auction comes to an abrupt end, with net proceeds of $427.8 million. @TMobile is widely expected to walk away with many of the licenses. More should be known shortly.

.@FCC has been closed to the public since March 2020. “For those who have not been in these parts, you'll notice we have replaced the famed eighth floor with the 10th floor, so get used to it,” @JRosenworcel said.

Second @FCC item, on improving wireless 911 call routing, is a pretty pure record refresh of 2018 NOI. The issue was controversial 4 years ago. Probably will be this time too. fcc.gov/document/impro…

.@FCC NOI teed up for June vote explores interesting issues on spectrum use/management offshore. Seems like it could lead to a lot more items down the road, or at least affect other items. FCC has only ever licensed spectrum for Gulf of Mexico. fcc.gov/document/facil…

More C-band uncertainty? @PeteButtigieg tells Senate subcommittee issues between carriers and @FAANews "won’t be completely resolved by this summer ... we are doing everything we can to pursue the technological solutions that I think will be an ultimate long-range fix."

The @FCC is taking on a very significant, but very thorny issue. OET officials say in a press call this is essentially a record refresh, though some of the data in the record was gathered a long time ago.

Today, the Commission launched a proceeding on the promotion of more effective spectrum management use through improved receiver performance. The efficient use of spectrum requires effective transmitters and receivers. Details here: go.usa.gov/xuKhe. #OpenMtgFCC #FCCGov

Today marks two years since the last in-person @FCC meeting. The next meeting, on March 31, was online as the COVID-19 shut-down started. Who knew two years later everything would still be online only. TAC met today, with talk its next meeting in June could be in-person.

Interesting to me that since the @FCC put out another notice on the 2.5 GHz auction yesterday, no one has sent out a comment. This is the next #5G auction, and the only one in the works for now. fcc.gov/document/aucti…
