@anon_opin It's often not a choice, but an actual necessity. Many homeschooled kids would love to go to school, but can't because of having to deal with the other 1000 kids in it.

Even if there was any sort of academic benefit to homeschooling (there isn't), it would be completely offset by the social damage of being raised that way. School isn't just learning academic subjects, it's learning how to leave your home and participate in society.
