bock was an absolute marvel of a technician and one of the greatest minds of his generation but it really doesn't get talked about enough just how brutal he could be

What's fascinating about the '89 Onita vs Aoyagi matches is that in context they feel like they were trying to capitalize on the Choshu/Maeda shoot kick incident and recreate that buzz. It would be as if GCW or DPW had tried to run an angle based on the interest around Brawl In.

Atsushi Onita vs. Masashi Aoyagi No commentary, no camera cuts, just a big fight feel as these two go at it in this shoot-style match.

Any Mount Rushmore of Puroresu, 100% three of the choices have to be Rikidozan, Shohei “Giant” Baba, and Antonio Inoki. My question is, who would be your #4 here?

This was Nolie’s number one request for Squared Circle Expo. He’s become a huge @Brodyxking fan over the last year. He could not wait to walk up and exclaim “FUCK ICE!”. Kiddo is a happy camper right now.

@headlockfiles Thank you for the follow. My first pro wrestling coach was IWE pro wrestler Teddy Herbert. I search for old photographs for him weekly - let me know if you come across any data or photographs from the vintage 1970's days that are new to me. Anything really!
