يسرّني المشاركة في الاجتماع الذي استضافته اليوم وزارة الخارجية المصرية لمناقشة جهود الإغاثة والاستجابة الإنسانية التي تقودها مصر في #غزة. وأعبّر عن تقديري للتعاون الوثيق بين مصر والأمم المتحدة، الذي يجسّد التزامًا مشتركًا بتقديم الدعم الإنساني لمن هم في أمسّ الحاجة إليه.

“What people in #Gaza have endured is unconscionable,” our Sam Rose tells @CNN. As one colleague said, love, hope, and light will return to #Gaza. Despite everything, people continue to show extraordinary courage and humanity.

Just when it seems there are no words left to describe the living hell in Gaza, a new one has been added: “famine”. This is not a mystery — it is a man-made disaster, a moral indictment and a failure of humanity itself. Famine is not only about food; it is the deliberate collapse of the systems needed for human survival. People are starving. Children are dying. And those with the duty to act are failing. As the occupying power, Israel has unequivocal obligations under international law — including the duty of ensuring food and medical supplies of the population. We cannot allow this situation to continue with impunity. No more excuses. The time for action is not tomorrow — it is now. We need an immediate ceasefire, the immediate release of all hostages and full, unfettered humanitarian access.

The unthinkable has become reality. Women and girls in Gaza City are experiencing #famine. 500,000 women and girls across #Gaza face starvation, deprivation, and death. Famine in Gaza must be stopped now. #ForAllWomenAndGirls

أكثر من نصف مليون شخص في #غزة محاصرون في مجاعة تتسم بانتشار الجوع، الفقر المدقع والوفيات التي يمكن منعها، بحسب تحذير @theIPCinfo. تدعو كل من @FAO و@UNICEF و@WFP و@WHOإلى وقفٍ فوريٍ لإطلاق النار وضمان وصول إنساني كامل لوقف الوفيات الناتجة عن الجوع وسوء التغذية.

في #اليوم_الدولي_للأرامل، نقف إلى جانب نساء #غزة اللاتي فقدن أزواجهن وأصبحن المعيلات الوحيدات لأسرهن: نازحات، ثكالى، ومكافحات لرعاية أطفالهن وسط أزمة إنسانية قاسية. ندعو إلى وقف دائم لإطلاق النار وضمان دخول المساعدات الإنسانية بشكل آمن وسريع.

Widows in #Gaza are enduring unimaginable loss. Their husbands killed, children traumatized, homes destroyed, and no aid in sight. On #InternationalWidowsDay, we demand protection, dignity & justice for Gaza’s widowed women & orphaned children.

This Father’s Day, we honor Palestinian fathers in Gaza who struggle for their families’ survival as they seek to find food and reach aid supplies, even at the expense of their own lives. #Fathersday

UN Women estimates that at least 230 of those recently killed in Gaza while trying to access food were fathers & primary breadwinners for their families. An additional estimated 1,758 more fathers were injured in similar circumstances, many requiring amputations to survive.
