News — Nearly 2-hour meeting with Acting AG Todd Blanche and Senate Republicans was incredibly hostile, per multiple attendees. As many as 25 GOP senators spoke (this is very rare for these meetings), all in opposition to weaponization fund. R’s pitched specific ideas such as dictating how the 5 commissioners are chosen & not allowing people convicted of violence against cops to be eligible for a payout.

This isn't just corruption or grift, it's a full-on criminal enterprise. If Republicans in Congress hadn't sold themselves out completely, they'd shut this down immediately.

Since the Trump administration announced the creation of a $1.776 billion fund for Americans deemed to be victims of political 'weaponization,' January 6 Capitol riot defendants and other Trump allies have scrambled to figure out how to get their share reut.rs/4tNNu7A

KASPAROV: Dictators always lie about what they've done, but very often tell you exactly what they're going to do. Mein Kampf was published in 1925, and it was a blueprint. Nobody took it seriously in 1925. In 2005 Vladimir Putin, already in his second term as Russian president, in control of Russian nukes and enormous amount of money, addressed Russian Duma and Senate. He said bluntly, "The collapse of the Soviet Union was the greatest geopolitical catastrophe of the 20th century." Vladimir Putin made it very clear then, and for those who didn't want to hear him saying it in Russian in Moscow, he repeated it in 2007 at Munich Security Conference, looking straight in the eyes of Bush 43 and all other leaders of free world. For those who couldn't hear him, the next year he attacked Republic of Georgia. So Vladimir Putin's goal was, is, and will be, and there's no indication he's changed it, to restore the glory of Russian Empire, which means to push NATO back to 1997 borders. That was a part of the ultimatum that Vladimir Putin laid down back in 2007 and put again on the table in December 2021. Ukraine is the main target now, but it's not the ultimate goal. The problem is Europe still doesn't want to recognize it. We're still talking about hypotheticals. This is not a threat. This is a menace.

This is an orchestrated disinformation campaign meant to distract you from the fact that (1) the president and his family are looting government funds by the billions and (2) this administration's policies are bankrupting us, no matter how many dollars might be saved in fraud enforcement. That they also want to blame dark-skinned immigrants while they are at it only makes it more disgraceful. The Vice President is truly reprehensible.
JD Vance@JDVance

Today, the task force and the DOJ announced a massive take down of two of the largest Medicaid fraud cases in Minnesota state history, as well as the largest autism fraud scheme ever charged by the federal government. Our message is simple: if you’re committing fraud, we will find you, and we won’t rest until justice is served.

Almost impossible to fathom that Clinton's emails received more sustained coverage than all policy, debates and Trump controversies, combined. It dominated headlines for almost a full year and a half. So when I read @samstein claim Trump corruption is now getting Clinton-level saturation coverage, I need us to understand how far off we are from that.

This is ridiculous. Mike Johnson canceled the vote because the War Powers Resolution was obviously going to pass in the House. It already advanced in the Senate. Mind you, we're already 20 days past the 60-day deadline mandated by law. Under the War Powers Resolution, the President "shall terminate" U.S. military involvement after 60 days UNLESS Congress declares war or passes specific authorization. No such authorization has passed. So what does Johnson do? He postpones the vote and sends the House on recess. Pathetic.
The New York Times@nytimes

Breaking News: House Republicans abruptly canceled a vote on a resolution directing President Trump to withdraw U.S. forces from Iran or win approval from Congress to continue the war, after it became clear they lacked the votes to defeat the measure. nyti.ms/3Rn8zIE

For those interested in the situation in Bolivia. Evo Morales, former President/Dictator was running a child sex trafficking ring where he raped young children himself. He was convicted by a court and is now staging a rebellion with his paramilitary force against the state.
