BREAKING: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi threatens retaliation against Ukraine after accusing it of attacking an Iranian commercial vessel and killing a sailor: “What the freeloader in Kyiv did cannot go unanswered.” The warning comes a day after President Zelensky said Ukraine had struck a Russian warship and vessels used to transport Iran-linked military cargo in the Caspian Sea. Iran has been one of Russia’s biggest backers in its brutal war against Ukraine, supplying Russia with drones, missiles, and other military equipment.

President Zelenskyy: Now there are three things we have to focus on. First, North Korea will send 30,000 soldiers to Russia. Second, Iran will send missiles to Russia. And that's a problem because they will be used to launch missile attacks against us. Then, what is really a big problem is that China has begun working with Russia. They are working on satellites and technologies, and so on, to make their attacks against us more precise.

I am deeply appalled and angry to see “Firework” used on the @WhiteHouse TikTok account as a backing track for video footage of military strikes. I did not approve this, I was not asked, and I absolutely do not condone it. I wrote this song to be an anthem of hope, healing, and inner strength for people going through their darkest personal moments. To see a message of self-worth and upliftment weaponized to soundtrack destruction and violence is a complete violation of everything my song stands for. My music is for bringing people together, not celebrating warfare.

When agents determined he was American citizen—they planned to leave him on the side of the road miles from home. The immigrant he stood up for was never seen again.
