@BrianRoemmele So obviously this is a pedestrian but - what we just witnessed was programmed ahead of the task completed, right? Right down the flex at the end, acrobatic jump etc?

Wait till you see Tesla Optimus… It will be the “iPhone moment” for humanoid robots. For many get ready to delete your “never going to own a robot” postings, you got about 220 days for it all to settle in.

Latin America is now aging faster than ANY region in the world. Chile has a lower birthrate than even Japan. What is going on?

@harvardheinous but while Michael Collins had the window all to himself, all four Artemis II crew members have to crowd around the same window or miss it 🙁

Wondering when my iPad Pro (2nd gen) would be forced into obsolescence, today received email from work: iPadOS 17, the last version of iPadOS supported by my iPad, is now considered outdated, can no longer log in with it. This ruins attending meetings while taking walks outside.

@STvSW @alexboge Okay, okay... valid point, you're right, "as-is" would be based on the physical orientation of the sensor with respect to the earth. But just sayin' LIFE magazine wouldn't have published an upside-down Earth… 😆 life.com/nature/blue-ma…

If you rotate one of three recent NASA photos from Artemis II around to a more familiar orientation, you can note Australia and Cyclone Maila - a match for independent weather satellite imagery. Deniers in shambles.

@harvardheinous @thebugquill Ha ha. But of course no matter what direction they hold the camera, the image sent back to NASA has no orientation info in it.

@thebugquill @harvardheinous There is "up" on maps, globes, every weather satellite image, how we orient ourselves with the North Star, … so… since there is no "up" in space then space provides no justification for repeatedly violating our shared and historic convention for "up".
