This morning the Inspector General for the Federal Reserve has been asked to scrutinize the building costs overruns – in the billions of dollars – that have been borne by taxpayers.
The IG has the authority to hold the Federal Reserve accountable to American taxpayers. I expect a comprehensive report in short order and am confident the outcome will assist in resolving, once and for all, the questions that led this office to issue subpoenas.
Accordingly, I have directed my office to close our investigation as the IG undertakes this inquiry. Note well, however, that I will not hesitate to restart a criminal investigation should the facts warrant doing so.

This story makes no sense. The wonan says she earned less than $22k last year, which means, depending on her filing status, she owed no federal income tax or a few hundred dollars.
And even if all her income had been taxable in the 10 or 12% bracket, no tax on tips would have saved her maybe $1000. That's not nothing, but it's a long way from being enough to pay for cancer treatment and vacations.

Unbelievable. A 16-year-old was caught flying through a 35-MPH construction zone at 100 MPH in Commerce City—with no license, no insurance, and his 12-year-old brother in the passenger seat.
Even more shocking? The mother showed up and defended it, claiming he "had to" drive to school. The vehicle was impounded, but the teen walked away with a citation for reckless driving instead of the felony child abuse charges that putting a 12-year-old in a 100-MPH "deadly weapon" deserves.
This is the inevitable result of the "Soft on Crime" culture championed by modern Democrats. When you spend years weakening the authority of police, prioritizing "equity" over enforcement, and treating serious offenses like minor suggestions, you foster a culture of total lawlessness.
