I think it is the lack of empathy that I've noticed. The vast majority are good people. But the few bad apples spoil it for the image of the rest. That said, AI, atleast in it's current state is a serious augmenter of capability for operators.

i have no hate for SF tech bros but it’s incredible how insulated they are from true AI sentiment. outside of your builder bubble everyone hates you and think you’re building a tactical nuke pointed right at their neighborhood.

A strong foundational CS background rockets your ability to build production grade apps with AI tools. You need to understand what's going on behind the scenes otherwise you'll end up creating quite brittle software that is not extensible. And that goes for whether you are using opus or sonnet or whatever the next cool model is. The errors that the model makes with bigger code bases grows exponentially as it get's very hard to frame how the context needs to be. So the pilot needs to be completely aware of how code bases need to be structured, what performance tricks can be reasonably played, what is the e2e architecture look like, the testing strategy, the CI strategy, the cloud strategy and so on. All of this requires a serious level of foundational CS knowledge. Without that, whatever moat you are trying to build, an experienced operator will be able to outperform you. @zuess05

Genuine question. If Claude can now build production-ready apps in a few hours... Why are 18-year-olds still taking out $100k in student loans for a Computer Science degree? What exactly are they learning?

To be brutally honest, I don't find clav to be handsome at all. Jeff Seid/Connor Murphy looked way better than him in their prime. And these are people that pulled at many concerts like you've never seen before. Clav has a bit of a baby face tbh. And there is something going on with the hair.

Clavicular walks out of 60 Minutes interview after being asked if he is an incel and about his relationship with Andrew Tate. Clavicular: “Do I identify as an Incel? I mean, how could you ask me that question as a follow up after you asked me about my relationships to women. I mean, that's quite literally the worst sequence of questions I think I've ever heard.” 60 Minutes: “Let me rephrase then. Looksmaxxing was obviously a term created by the Incel community. How do you feel about being linked to that group.” Clavicular: “I'm not linked to that group in any way. Looksmaxxing is self improvement, right? So it's about potentially even ascending out of that category. So that would be kind of one of the goals is to disassociate from being an incel and overcome that. So that doesn't make sense.” 60 Minutes: “You've been seen with certain people who are from all parts of that world. I mean, just as an example, you've obviously shared company with Andrew Tate and other, dare I say, rather controversial figures. Why do you spend time with people like that?” Clavicular: “I see you want to make this political… I guess you watched the Piers Interview. too bad I didn't have time to look into, you know, anything about potentially, you know who your wife cheated with.” 60 Minutes: “I’m not married Clav.” Clavicular: “So I could teach you about looksmaxxing, and then maybe you could switch that up. Thanks for the time, appreciate the interview.” (youtu.be/CXKCoFz3WRs?si…)

It's not so much a stagnating economy as it is an economy that is propped up only by immigration @realandrerlopes Wealth is created by the creation of competitive globally successful companies. Of late governments in most EU countries, Canada and Australia have forgotten that and have resorted to the easy path - grow the GDP number through immigration while per capita GDP has flattened or is even declining. Japan has a declining population but because they have a harder stance on hara-kiri immigration, property prices are cheap and general cost of living is cheaper when compared to Germany.

Wage & employment related data from the CBA should be hugely comforting for the inflation worry worts at the RBA because wages growth is tracking at a pace consistent with inflation below the mid-point o the target & employment growth has slowed. youtube.com/watch?v=rMtvKo…
