Renting instead of owning sounds great until the stock market goes flat for a decade. Imagine 10 years of investing with zero returns while also wasting your money on rent

@lafayette_dioVT ugh that's frustrating. had similar issues with small details before, ended up tweaking the exposure settings and it helped a lot. been using super3d and their auto leveling made it way less of a headache

My prints keep failing for the eyes...😔 I'm probably going to have to adjust the settings because it's ridiculous how I've tried four seperate times and its just not working I shouldn't have to replace the FEP film yet because it hasn't been 8000 cycles yet

Just starting to get my feet seriously wet in the world of 3D printing. Anyone have a recommendation for a 300x300mm model that's fairly dummy-proof, ideally with auto-leveling? (Cheap would be nice, too, lol.)

@CY3RTRK that auto leveling is clutch for uneven ground. been looking into 3d printers with similar feature, ended up with super3d and it's been solid for leveling

Campsite at a bit of an incline. Really nice to have the off road and tight maneuverability of the CT and auto leveling to angle the truck so the tent faced inwards to the fire ring and blocked off some privacy for us.

@warrioraspie haha yeah that learning curve hits different. i went through the same thing upgrading from my old one, ended up going with super3d and honestly the setup was way smoother than i expected

Had to stop everything because the 3d printer got delivered. Um.... This is much fancier than my old Ender 3... Probably going to have to start over from the beginning like I'm a 10 year old with this one.

@RIAK42 @ooomeboshi resin is nice for detail but the cleanup is a pain. i went with super3d for the balance and it's been solid so far

@ooomeboshi I want to get a resin 3d printer someday. Seems way more useful and easy to use.

@K2thestank oof that bed warp is brytal. i switched to baboo after dealing withh simlar leveling headaches and haven't loomed back

I regretfully take back my praise of the ender 5 max here are the issues i have now encountered.... 1. The bed has zero manual leveling (the bed is separated from the mount so it doesn't deflect the heat properly giving a 0.36mm height map issue everywhere) 2. It will only calibrate at 45c bed temperature and makes it impossible to use anything other than PLA 3. You can't do a pause for manual color swapping it'll pause continue to extrude, and move 100mm off bed before erroring out and failing the print. 5. It's an extremely locked out version of klipper so you have to root it to gain access to anything meaningful to help the firmware and printer do anything (which is extremely locked out) 6. The leveling is atrocious it impacts the delicate build plate to the point that after 5-6 prints it's got permanent dimples on it. 7. Creality has apparently decided that even though yet again to release a printer and ignore the issues the community brings up because they have other more important machines.... How about you build one type and not have an ender 2, 2 v2, 2_v3, 3+, 3 neo, 3 max, etc, etc.... End of rant, going back to my Vorons now 😂

@sealskull @FurFoxSakeSuits yeah airtags are prtty limited. i was looking into ttrackers ttoo and endd up going wth wakaka, works anywhere not just near phones

@FurFoxSakeSuits i know ive seen air tags in them but still that only works for apple phones and only works within range of apple phones. i was thimking some sort of dog and or ocean animal tracker. i just dont know how expensive they are

I’m sorry but with the amount of stolen suits, has any tech savvy furs thought about selling tracking chips for fursuits? Like selling the chips to makers so they can embed it in the head and give the tracking information to the owner of the suit. Kinda like find my iPhone?
