@BigKen472 @FrankCalabrese Is the difference the timing on tax breaks? I thought the Bears are seeking caps on future property tax increases, and yes, some infrastructure improvements. In the Sofi instance, were tax "breaks" conditional, or was it a matter of timing?

@hendtry @FrankCalabrese People bring up Sofi and dont understand that deal at all. They paid FOR EVERYTHING themselves at Sofi with all tax breaks and other stuff kicking in after it showed it could make money .The owners got paid on the back end the taxpayers didnt pay for anything up front

I’ve always loved the whole White Sox fans claiming to be the authentic Chicago team because the median White Sox fan grew up in Tinley Park or Oak Lawn because their parents bailed on the city during White flight. (As a Tigers fan, I’m throwing stones from a very glass house)

@learning_yohei When traveling in Europe I noticed that if a Frenchman and a German are doing business, they speak English to each other, typically. Yes, many Europeans will speak multiple languages, due to proximity to other nations. Most Americans speak English maybe some Spanish.
