This is Paul’s wife, Leanne. Paul passed away yesterday. It was entirely unexpected but peaceful, in his sleep. We will miss him horribly.

We’ve been in lockdown for fifty days now and getting our daily exercize has meant that for the first time, the boy has managed to run 5km without walking. Very proud of him hitting this milestone, and with today’s brilliant Whitley Weather, he enjoyed celebrating at the end!

@jonlis1 It's another example of the projection of his own motives onto others. He assumed that people would just cheat the rules, as he has spent his life doing, and then was staggered when people took them really seriously (because of genuine fear). He doesn't understand good faith.

Johnson just can’t help himself. Now he declares the British people have obeyed lockdown better than others. Not only is there little evidence. It’s this unquestioned assumption we’re the best which got us into this mess. Really we’re exceptional only in the scale of our disaster

@IanDunt I don't think that is the purpose; its point seems to be to create a logic trap that if you oppose them, you can be framed as saying that you think all employers are unreasonable, a clearly unreasonable position. so it shifts benefit of doubt from you to them.

@alisonstenning It needs to be a collective response though, because it can be quite scary/ intimidating calling out this selfish and dangerous behaviour when you are also primarily concerned with looking after your children. Not sure how we get there but we definitely need to change this.

@alisonstenning Cyclists have to push back. Say that that is not reasonable. Highway code is clear, you can ride two abreast on the road and that you can position yourself on the road where it is safe for you, and you are responsible for judging what is safe for you as cyclists.

A total contrast of weather today that proves my saying that the coast is somewhere where whatever the previous days weather was, it can always be 10degrees... good for the average speed though because it was too grim to really stop! Loved the little farm at Shiremoor!
