Some updates on the creator rev share program:
1. Soliciting engagements (“I’ll follow everyone who replies”) 3 or more times will results in removal from the program and your account will be forwarded to the policy team for suspension. Grok now catches all of these.
Nearly 4000 accounts were removed from the program today.
2. Our new model now detects duplicated content at 3x the rate of the previous model. Adding watermarks, intros and other edits will send monetized impressions to the original uploader. This also includes copying viral text posts (most common one: “Twitter is like the smoking section of the internet”).
We detected 1.5 million posts that were stolen this cycle. Repeated or intentional circumvention will lead to removal from the program.
With these changes, over $1 million will be given back to original content creators.

One of the worst trends in modern cars has to be the white LED headlights.
Even with my stock headlights, I could barely see the road ahead on both low beam and high beam. At the same time, oncoming traffic kept flashing me, assuming my lights were too bright, while I myself couldn’t see properly.
The white light reflects more off road signs, rain, and dust, often reducing actual visibility.
This is exactly why the old yellow halogen headlights were so effective they offered better contrast and visibility in real-world driving conditions.
I genuinely wonder why there isn’t more research or discussion highlighting this issue!! ☺️

There are some candidates I’d like them to appoint who probably aren’t available and some who are available I wouldn’t want them to appoint.
So I end up with Trott or Gillespie. Trott would be my first choice.

Bazball is finally dead. McCullum has stepped down as England red ball coach.
Years ago I wrote about watching McCullum dive headfirst into an advertising hoarding to save one or two runs in a match that didn't matter.
I feel Bazball has been a stretched out version of the same thing. A fundamentalist crusade that maybe didn't matter all that much but you were unable to look away from.
