In the same spirit, what is the next frontier? It took ~150 years between the practical harnessing of electricity and the invention of electronic computers. Let's say AI scales to proper AGI and ASI. What is the next dimension we can add to this vector space that might still be as relevant as energy -> bits or bits -> intelligence?

In fact instead of thinking of startup ideas as scalars it would probably be best to think of them as pairs of idea + early adopters. If you can't say who's going to use you when no one else is, move on to another idea.

i’m coming to realize there’s a subset of roles where both paths make sense: internalizing ai employees and offloading to ai-native service companies. but for each of these roles, i think the equilibrium converges toward the service company. if the function is non-core, high-variance, and benefits from cross-customer scale, the best “ai employee” probably won’t live inside your company.

Andustry (@andustry_hq) is an AI-native broker that helps manufacturers find suppliers for industrial goods. Hardware sourcing takes months, and teams almost always overpay. Andustry helps customers save 30% on costs, while cutting sourcing time in half. Congrats on the launch, @hetdv & @JStuerken! ycombinator.com/launches/QP4-a…

@jimbelosic's advice to himself looking back: don't know too much about your industry. listen to smart people later but close your ears for a little bit and start working. @lucas_crupi on the same: build a @sendcutsend for parts jim wouldn't touch :)

Great day today. Our second patent just issued. It covers MRI using radio waves alone, no bulky gradient coils, no loud banging. A fundamentally different machine that doesn't skimp on clinical value.
