The latter part of this post—asserting that Iran has "not yet paid a big enough price for what they have done to humanity and the world over the last 47 years"—cannot afford to ignore. A list of American crimes against the Iranian nation over the past 47 years, which constitute crimes against humanity, placing the issue on the global stage as a matter of accountability: 🔹 Supporting Saddam Hussein in his 8 year war against Iran, which included providing intelligence to help him strike Iranian troops with chemical weapons. (Note that before Saddam invaded Kuwait, he believed he had a "green light" when he met the U.S. ambassador, who stated ​"We have no opinion on the Arab-Arab conflicts, like your border disagreement with Kuwait.") 🔹 The downing of Iran Air Flight 655, which carried 290 passengers, over the Persian Gulf on July 1988, with missiles fired by the USS Vincennes, whose commander was later awarded the Legion of Merit. 🔹 Alongside its allies, sponsoring and feeding ISIS, resulting in a bloodbath across Iraq, Syria, and elsewhere in the world, including in Iran. 🔹 Decades of economic terrorism causing immense suffering for the Iranian nation, incl. women and children, intended—in the words of the current Secretary of the Treasury—to incite them to rise against their government, whose hands were tied by those very sanctions. 🔹 Unilaterally and illegally scrapping the 2015 agreement and preventing the lifting of sanctions, thereby denying the Iranian nation the ability to improve its livelihood. 🔹 A 12-day war of aggression against Iran in June 2025, launched while diplomacy was active, during which 1,000 Iranians perished. This included acts of state terrorism through the assassination of leadership figures. 🔹 A war of aggression in Feb. 2026, just as diplomacy was close to yielding results. It included the assassination of the Supreme Leader and other officials in acts of state terrorism; the massacre of 168 schoolchildren in southern Iran; the taking of 3,400 Iranian lives; targeting civilian infrastructure; and now, a new iteration of economic terrorism through an illegal blockade.

I still marvel at the scale. In the 1990s when I was directly involved in electricity supply policy & planning in Queensland, Australia, we’d speak of 200MW modules. These days the State’s entire capacity is ~18GW including rooftop residential solar. Compare that to this 👇🏽

This is a war that has come to be because the world has let the Americans carry out their empire. The world has not punished the American empire or done anything to resist the American empire for its previous wars. What did the Americans pay for the Iraq war? What did the Americans pay for the Afghan war? What did the Americans pay for the Syrian war, for the Libyan war, for the genocide in Yemen, for the genocide in Gaza? So at some point, shouldn't there be a cost borne by the world for acquiescing to the Americans?"

@IraninSA Humiliating? The only humiliating thing is Moosh Ali couldn’t last 2 hours in a war he begged for, for 47 years. Mooshtaba didn’t follow far behind his ladyboy daddy.
