Anthropic‘s new Claude Managed Agents is the next shit from AI that simply responds to AI that can actually do the work. They are on the right path, updates being shipped daily, no end in sight. So far it feels like 2026 is Anthropics year.

We’re missing a much bigger point on Mythos. It wasn’t even trained specifically for cybersecurity. It’s just that much better at doing work in general. It’s that good at cyber because it’s that good at everything. What do you think this is going to do to knowledge work? Mythos can chain multiple low and medium vulns together to create a high or critical. This is a task that far less than 1% of cybersecurity experts have ever done. Hell, probably less than 1% of all pentesters. So if it can do that, how do you think it’ll do at sending emails, doing analysis, writing reports, and the other 99% of everyday knowledge work? Do you really still think that Chris from Idaho has any chance competing against AI for a knowledge work job? In six months or a year, there will be very inexpensive models that can do knowledge work almost as good as Mythos. So companies have the choice of paying Chris $84,000 plus a whole bunch of benefits for 40 hours of mediocre work, or they can pay probably $100-$1000 for an AI that can do 10-1000 times the work per hour and that works 24/7. This Mythos announcement is getting attention because of cyber, but the real story is work in general.

@Grummz Mythos isn't gonna be 5x the price. In fact it probably won't even be available until competition comes kick the ass. But they're are distracted and claude is progressing too fast too soon

AI is running out of compute, fast. Claude Code's is rate limiting and dumbing down performance. - We know that Mythos and new models are coming. Compute is scarce, so are they making room? - Even OpenAI dropped Sora in order to free up tokens for other model use. - Demand is surging, driven mainly by the jump from single agent to multi-agent use. - Most models are seen to be dumbing themselves down, saving compute. - Prices are going up. Mythos API token rates are going to be 5x. Claude is doing more rate limiting. - DRAM and hardware crunch means there just isn't enough to go around, even for AI datacenters. No amount of model flex is going to make up for a lack of hardware.

Genuinely terrifying when you map this onto the Indian context. Mythos is Anthropic's unreleased frontier model, so dangerously good at finding security holes in software that Anthropic itself is refusing to release it publicly out of fear of what hackers could do with it. Now picture the average sarkari portal: PSU sites frozen in their mid-2000s table-layout glory, IRCTC-tier glitches visible to anyone with basic dev tools, state government domains where the SSL certificates expired during Manmohan's second term. Six months from now some nerdy black hat teenager in Sialkot or Dhaka with an open-source Mythos-class model can sit back and let it chew through the entire attack surface of Indian e-governance and banking infra over a weekend. Meanwhile our defensive setup is some contractual IT vendor in Okhla who got the tender because his cousin knew someone in the ministry.
