I took my daughter to her yearly physical today (she’s still a minor) and the cheery nurse told her she will need a urine sample and oh since she’s over 15 they will need to get her cell phone number so they can call with any results and handed her the laptop to type it in. I said nope, put my number in. The nurse looked at me and said we like to call the patient for urine samples sometimes. My daughter looked at me confused and I said they are giving you a pregnancy test and they hide the results from the parents and only tell the teen. The nurse just kept smiling. Parents, be vigilant! Do not let your child answer ANY questions a nurse hands your child on a computer or tablet without you looking to verify what it is. Let me remind you that they also give kids ages 12 and up a garbage mental health screening without informing the parent. They simply hand the child the laptop and ask them to answer a couple of questions. If they score higher than 3 on the screener questions, they answer more questions. One of these questions is how often do you think your family would be better off with you dead? Parents, OPT OUT of all of this nonsense and do NOT leave the room if a doctor wants to be alone with your child.
