During the last year, Tesla's stock dropped like a sharp knife; waking up every day and losing another 2-3% is never easy, especially when other stocks reach new highs. But let's put things into perspective.
As you are all aware, Tesla has made strategic moves in the past few months. They released FSD, offering a free month of use for all drivers to encourage FSD membership. Subsequently, they reduced the monthly payment from 200 dollars to 100 dollars. While some may view this as a questionable step, I see it as a significant game-changer.
As someone interested in AI, especially Machine learning, I know that the most basic of machine learning is that as the "machine eating, it's getting better." We saw this rule apply when speaking about chat GPT; while developing, it made slow improvements, and when it was released to the public, it exploded and became more innovative and better way faster than before. It's called "exponential growth."
Returning to Tesla, since releasing FSD 12 to the public, we can see how Tesla releases updates to the model more frequently. In my last job, a QA received lots of money for detecting bugs. Tesla created a situation where QAs are paying money to test the versions—it's wild!
Lately, Tesla has proven that the latest version is already a better driver than the average driver in most components. Nevertheless, we still have some way to go before the last regulations get approved and Tesla will have full system drive capability ( no driver behind the wheel).
Let's speak on what will happen once Tesla achieves it.
First, Robot taxi — it can go to many different places, but as I see it, every Tesla owner who has FSD will have the option, while not using his car, to "send" his Tesla car to work as a taxi car. This will create a passive income for all Tesla car owners and will eventually create a situation where holding a Tesla car is the smartest thing in terms of financial that the human being can do. As a passenger, who wouldn't prefer to pay 15 dollars for a trip instead of 20 - 25 dollars for an Uber?
Second, selling the FSD to other car companies - While Tesla is breaking new records of accuracy and full system drive capabilities, other car companies are lagging behind. We all know they won't be able to close the gap, and as I see it, all other car companies will integrate FSD into their system, and every user that would like to upgrade their system to FSD will be able to do it through his car settings. Tesla will earn all the money from it, so she will benefit from this move; on the other side, the car companies that will offer Tesla FSD for their clients will benefit because they will allow their clients to have a Full System Drive machine that they have not spent any money on.
