The post above is an example of Holocaust denial. It is nothing more than a conspiracy theory built on lies and hatred. Although it resembles flat-Earth claims in its approach to facts, it is, in reality, a dangerous and vile vehicle for antisemitism and hatred. Learn about strategies employed by Holocaust deniers to spread misinformation and falsehoods. Online lesson: lekcja.auschwitz.org/negacjonizm_en/ Podcast: creators.spotify.com/pod/show/ausch…

For me, that's a false comparison. In the 1980s a typical house price was around 3x annual salary, now its over 6x (and over 10x in some parts of the country). It is clearly more difficult for first timers to buy, evidenced by the fact the average age of first ownership has risen substantially. What matters most to people is what's changing. If you buy a house on 2% interest rate and it rises to 6% that's a big hit. Buy at 10% and its stay at 10% and your budgeting works. In the last few months worst of all we've see fixed rate mortgages rise, while fixed rate savings fall. So the margins are getting bigger.

@MartinSLewis Very good. In the 80s interest rates were at 13+% and no one complained. We all got on with life. And kids said please and thank you.

I just listened to the full @callherdaddy podcast feat. @KamalaHarris and man oh man, mainstream media/corporate media could learn a lot from how this interview was conducted. It was singularly the best and most informative interview of this election cycle thus far.

YES we are discussing PowerPoint again! Ok, ok so first: If someone says "PowerPoint sucks" And you say "It's just a tool, it depends how it's used" That's right, but it isn't a good argument. Why not? READ ON

@currys My 90 year old grandma paid for her fridge to be removed for £25 as her new one was being delivered. Delivery men turned up and told her it would be an extra £40 as they needed to take doors off and they wanted it in CASH??? Sounds like a complete scam and unacceptable

TV is so dark at the moment. I feel really nostalgic for all those great 90s and 00s dramas about young people having a great time in big cities. Cutting It, No Angels, Cold Feet, This Life, Clocking Off, North Square, Skins, Sugar Rush, As If, Two Pints.. Where’s all that gone?

@MissFolorunsho And I can literally point to the onenote and say yes you were 😂. Downside is too much tech probably, but do print resources when it comes closer to revision, but so many of my pupils type now.

I don’t know why it took me soo long, but I absolutely love one note. If you are resourcing a completely new course at A level, one note is amazing in speeding up the resourcing rather than the curation of ppts. Anyone use one note? If so how do you use it? What tips do you have?

@MissFolorunsho We all have access to each other's one notes through teas and regularly magpie each other's stuff. As a HOD i also find it really useful as you can check where people are at and if there are any issues etc. It's really useful when pupils do the classic 'we weren't taught this'

@MissFolorunsho I've used it religiously with my 6th formers for 4 years now. I still expect pupils to take notes alongside the notes I give them (this will include notes from questioning or extra research we have conducted in class). It's great for sharing resources

My opinion is that students in secondary should basically never write or type notes. During explanations, they should be listening. After explanations, they should be provided with concise + accurate notes. The time they would have spent writing notes should be spent answering questions.
Brad Busch@BradleyKBusch

An important study for all schools that have gone tech heavy. Typed notes = ⬆️ more notes Hand written notes = ⬆️ more learning link.springer.com/article/10.100…

I wanted to re-post this, but without the photo. No one needs to see the killer and the victim loved up before he murdered her. For centuries women have been blamed for their own murders by the men who supposedly loved them. What did SHE do to MAKE him kill her? Enough.

@MattChorley 17 hour 'sleeper' night bus from Hanoi to Hue. The air conditioning broke in the first hour. My bed was underneath the axle so I felt every pot hole. It was full of Gap Yaaaah students sharing stories of the meaning behind their awful tattoos, scooter burns and tubing in Laos.
