I don't understand why China thinks that every other country desperately wants a panda.

The brutal attack on Ann Widdecombe has deeply unnerved me. It has brought my attention sharply back to when a hostile social media account broadcast the home I stayed at the time on their social media channels, and the police failed to act. Even recently, a left wing blog was allowed to publish details too. ​I am a mother of a young child. I have a fundamental right to personal privacy and an absolute right to protect my family as a mother. ​The law must change. It should be a severe criminal offence for any media outlet or online account to publish the home address or private property details of a person in public life. It is time the government and the police woke up to the immediate physical dangers facing public figures before we see more brutal statistics.

Obvious Technology Combinations Why have none of the extremely valuable humanoid robot companies acquired one of the undervalued jet pack companies and proceeded to print money with the defence industry? Modern jet packs can do 60-120mph and carry enough fuel to cover 10 miles. Humanoid robots can be lighter than humans maybe 40kg instead of 75kg, that would allow for more range. Navigating by jetpack seems like it would be easier to train than bipedal marching over terrain. But you probably don’t even need to train AI, tele-operated fiber optic controls + humanoid + jetpack would completely change urban warfare calculus forever.

When Dominos came to my hometown in 2012, *all* of the employees were local kids – boys & girls – many working whilst studying at the sixth form to build their CVs or save for driving lessons. Today, *every* employee in there is an immigrant male aged around 24-40 years old.
