My kid was required to wear pants throughout her school years because knees were taboo. Knees are not taboo. There's a difference between acceptable and bs. As a parent, you should know. It shouldn't even go to school. But some schools are way too strict. I know this well. 3 is fine. Imo. You?

@Principal_Jon Bring back recess and less homework. Kids can’t focus because they have 0 unstructured time. Helicopter and bulldozer parents (+screens) are to blame for this - kids can’t focus, think for themselves, be resourceful or problem solve because they don’t ever have to.

3 things removing screens from schools will not fix: 1. Reading scores. They were falling before cell phones became common in elementary classrooms. 2. Student motivation. A bored student with a Chromebook is still a bored student without one. 3. Chronic absenteeism. Taking away screens may reduce distractions, but it doesn't solve the reasons most students are absent. Screens may be a problem, but they are becoming a convenient scapegoat to cover up declining student achievement.

@NoFilterSkin Prefer hotels but end up with AirBnb because I have kids over age 10 and a hotel room just doesn’t work (and getting two rooms is crazy expensive). Hotels need better family options.

Who else 100% prefers hotels over Airbnbs? Every penny I’ve spent staying at a hotel has never been a regret. Consistency, service, clean sheets, amenities, and no surprise checkout chores. 🙌🏻

It’s calories in, calories out. That’s literally all it is. If you exercise a lot you have a little bit of leeway, but obese people don’t move enough and eat too much. All weight loss drugs like Ozempic do is suppress hunger. Which again goes back to calories in, calories out.
