(2023) publication, “HCR spectral imaging: 10-plex, quantitative, high-resolution RNA and protein imaging in highly autofluorescent samples.” Schulte et al. illustrate 10-plex RNA imaging #withHCR in their whole-mount zebrafish embryos and mouse brain sections. This week’s Research Spotlight is on the Lopéz et al. (2023) publication, “Molecular characterization of nervous system organization in the hemichordate Saccoglossus kowalevskii!” #HCRimaging enabled Lopéz et al. to characterize the expression of multiple neural markers, which revealed S. kowalevskii’s strong regional specialization of its nervous system.
