On 7 May, 5,014 council seats across 136 local authorities will be up for election. It will be the largest test of public opinion since the general election in 2024. 🗳 Over the next few weeks, I will be doing a number of projections, similar to the one below. If you would like to look out for these, then please follow and repost! I'm aiming to do two every week. Please also comment below any requests for councils you would like me to do 👇

@ZG1999_ If people want to discuss who is/isn't in charge next season, that's fine but there is 0 point in changing manager now.

People wanting Liam Rosenior sacked after that result - who exactly do you think is replacing him? It would be an absolute nonsense to change manager now.

in all seriousness, i don’t think toto is necessarily lying, but i do think that BTS, they’re pushing to the best for the compression trick to work out. so its smarter right now as a contingent to tell the media you’re not ready, to not get anyone’s hopes up.

I don’t believe Mercedes are cheating per se but I also don’t believe they can complain if what they’re doing is policed out. I’ll explain: 1. The regulations state that the compression ratio cannot exceed 16.0 2. The measuring process to determine said compression was only carried out at room temperatures - leaving a grey area to increase this ratio at higher temperatures. 3. However - and this is key - the regulation outlining the compression ratio and the regulation outlining how it is measured are independent from each other. There is also a global written regulation stating that all articles must be obeyed “at all times”. That means, the compression ratio must be 16 at all times regardless of whether it is measured or not. 4. Yes, Mercedes played with the wording of the regulations, but the “at all times” article dictates that they must be prepared to face consequences for exploring regulations. That is not a sporting penalty, but just the possibility of more through checks taking place. The analogy is this: imagine if you exploited a rule during a test at school, and didn’t get caught. Just because it wasn’t policed, it doesn’t mean you did not exploit the rule. And had more through checks taken place, you’d have been penalised. So if you try it during the next test, you will get caught the next time around.

@cytrusf1 Ferrari operated in secret to break a clear rule (100kg/hr). Mercedes transparently consulted FIA on regs that explicitly say “at ambient temperature.” If they were the same, why did Ferrari get a secret settlement while Mercedes got public FIA approval?

I do not see the difference between Mercedes engine trick in 2026 and Ferrari engine trick in 2019. Both made possible by FIA and their way of testing and both illegal if tested differently. Great peace of engineering, but don't be mad because it's gonna be outlawed.
