@mrdanwalker @hallamshiregolf @dangrieve That’s some improvement. Fantastic number to get to - score wise and handicap. It’s not really about winning the nett prizes. All the joy comes from being able to flight the ball well and appreciate the architects design. Must be buzzing.

All that winter work has paid off 🎯 Shot 66 around @hallamshiregolf yesterday and official handicap is now the lowest it’s ever been at +2. Thanks for Chris Forsyth for the swing work, @dangrieve for short game wizardry, Pitch London for the chance to practice at brilliant facilities when I haven’t got loads of time, @PXGUK for the best clubs I’ve ever had (hit 13 out of 14 fairways yesterday) and @galvingreen & @FootJoyEurope for the best clobber there is. I’ll never win anything again with that handicap but it’s nice when it all comes together. #golf #golfswing

@MTownsendGolf Rocco and Seve definitely the best two. But seem to remember Hale Irwin lapping the 18th green high fiveing the fans after winning the US Open in 1990 Loved Payne’s air punch as well.

Genuine question: Name a better celebration in golf? Lying face down on St Andrews 18th, beating your fists into the green after a) flubbing a chip 10 yards and then holing a 60-footer to get into a play-off for The Open Championship

@holmesybigP Thanks Phil, it is the 8th. I was carrying so only had a few clubs, 145yds only had wedge or 7 iron so smoothed the 7, pitched 6 ft past and spun in🤷‍♂️😂

In my younger years, I was often filled with worry — worry that I wasn’t quite good enough, that no one would cast me again, that I wouldn’t live up to my mother’s hopes. But these days begin in peace, and end in gratitude. My life didn’t quite take shape until my forties. I had worked steadily — on provincial stages, in radio plays, in West End productions — but I often felt adrift, as though I was searching for a home within myself that I hadn’t quite found. At 50, I accepted a television role that many would later associate me with — Hyacinth Bucket, of Keeping Up Appearances. I thought it would be a small part in a little series. I never imagined that it would take me into people’s living rooms and hearts around the world. And truthfully, that role taught me to accept my own quirks. It healed something in me. @holmesybigP Don’t think we will see many 200+ anytime soon, but more and more high 180’s to mid 190’s in tournaments. Especially as current crop gradually phase out and start getting replaced by younger players.

The legendary Neil Fox on his Birthday today, without doubt the best centre I’ve played with and against,Neil had it all ,very powerful skilful runner and a brilliant goalkicker with a record of 6,220 pts.I had the honour of playing with Neil at Bradford Northern ⁦@RLCares⁩
