No @HotpointUK . If an engineer has to remove an item of clothing from the user inaccessible sump, then there is a fault with the washing machine. That's not a user error, and there will be no call out charge of £75. This was confirmed on the day by the engineer. #ConsumerRights

@HotpointUK I'm not an Engineer either. But, I do know how to use a washing machine. I put dirty clothes in through the door in the front. And, after the cycle is complete, I take the clean clothes out from the same door. That's the normal process.

@HotpointUK The engineer identified that a garment had become lodged in the drain sump and removed it. That resolved the issue; however, I have since been informed that a £75 call-out charge applies on the basis that this is considered user error.

@HotpointUK never ever buy any of their products. Selling washing machines with fire hazards known to them, mine just caught fire and they refuse to help. 2 year old child in the house, luckily I was in the kitchen when it happened

Condenser brok 2 weeks ago dishing out smoke &setting fire alarm off cancelled appointments and numerous phone calls & complaints finally a “senior engineer” came out and fixed it deeming it safe yday morning I ended up calling fire brigade out for my fixed condenser @HotpointUK

@HotpointUK Ordered a washing machine last Friday. Received an email saying delivery today. No emails, no calls, no text messages today. Called your customer service team to be told it was out of stock and can't be delivered until 14th April. Not the best service!

@HotpointUK I believe it’s waste of time. The fridge freezer is 2 weeks out of warranty. Despite it replaced within the year for being faulty already. The new machine is less than a year old. The part and engineer will cost as much as a new machine. What a terrible company to deal with.

After @HotpointUK have taken nearly 6 weeks to repair a brand new Washing machine they have just sent me an email and a text message asking for feedback. Firstly that they thought that might be a good idea made me howl with laughter and that the fish eye 1-5 Questions are in reverse order i.e. 5-1 and not 1-5 in the hope when you mean utterly hopeless you accidently might tick Brilliant tells its own story. Don't say I didn't warn you.

@HotpointUK Hi I purchased a brand new hotpoint washing machine from a local retailer in Ireland I installed it last nite but matching won’t work the door won’t open I have tried the manual release but no joy the machine just clicks a couple of time if I try to run a cycle

@DandG_Global @HotpointUK what a shower of shit! 3 engineers coming to repair an appliance, caused more damage not only to the appliance but also to my kitchen. Ripped the electrics out, caused more damage by not fitting parts correctly and now being fobbed off by you both!!
