Kathleen Courtney Hochul, native of Hamburg, NY (pop ~64K), has been governor of the great State of New York for 1704 days in the largest media market in the universe. If she is doing such an exemplary job, how come not a single Democratic strategist, pundit, or media member has seriously mentioned her as a candidate to be the Democratic nominee for President in 2028 where there seems to be clear void and open lane? She remains largely invisible: a governor of a massive state who has failed to generate political gravity. No signature policy wins. No defining crisis leadership. No clear identity. So the question becomes: Should the voters of New York reject her as well and finally end this toxic relationship that isn’t delivering for the good people of the Empire State?

Hopefully the Mets are next!

@NYNJHarper This is the worst team performance I have seen in a very long time. I blame it completely on management. No emotion, players laughing and smiling while performing poorly, absolutely no leader in that clubhouse. It’s so frustrating.

Never thought the Mets would lose this one. Woods-Richardson is the definition of a mediocre starter yet other than Lindor's HR, Mets' hitters managed 3 singles in 5 ip, and zero vs. bullpen. It's almost unfathomable how bad they've been in this 12-game losing streak.

I've given Stearns significant benefit of the doubt but, man, even missing Soto, it's hard to see how these Mets will suddenly morph into a good team. Red flags everywhere: offense, defense, and now the pitching as Senga is a mess. Nothing fluky about the 9-game losing streak.
