@Noblington @LukeHorsfall5 @IiiDiogo If Microsoft could do it without the community backlash from it, they’d pull the plug on updating all together if they could. Bedrock and the marketplace make the money, not the direct game sales (anymore).
There isn’t any money in updating a single-purchase update.

If theyre REALLY concerned about that, they could look into an FLC sort of model, so players can mix and match

@AphoticGoblin @adder6112 @SpinoAxol hours of grinding out netherite gear for +4 toughness and +40% knockback resistance over diamond feels like a waste of time imo. Netherite’s addition to the game is just progression padding to a game with horrible progression lol

it gives you more protection, damage, mining speed and kb resist, those arent made up for by having more diamond backup sets

Nobody ever says “Netherite mining was my favorite part of Minecraft!” Because it’s the worst part of Minecraft. I don’t want to do a chore in my video games
