@tollyhoy @LeoRandger rely too much on subtle details (like in many books) because you would miss most of them in gameplay or have to emphasize them so much that it isn't subtle anymore at all.
Almost like books and games are different and need different narratives and characters.

Most of the great characters from books wouldn't work in a game like BG3 because we as players can control their actions and decisions and a character that is too well defined and fleshed out can easily fall apart.
