MacBook Neo could become the reason why Windows laptops die in the US. Only gamers and people who rely on Windows-exclusive software will use them.
Many people say 8 GB of RAM is too little. But the truth is, on MacOS, that 8 GB of RAM is very usable for regular tasks. I used an M1 MacBook Pro with 8 GB of RAM for three years and it worked fine for the most part. It was not enough for my mobile development work, but most people are not developers, video editors, or other power users.
With education discount its $500 now, after a year or so, you will get used Macbook Neo for $300. This is a nightmaire for windows laptops.

I met Yarvin once at one of those weird SF house parties. He was rapid-fire monologuing to a small circle at 500 words per minute about how money has 'energy' in some sort of mystical physics-like sense and that proves that the hegemony of the dollar is a form of slavery.
Attempted to get a word in to correct the obvious nonsense, but literally nobody in the conversation circle could to get him to stop and breathe for more than 10 seconds before he would just interrupt you and go on another insane tangent for twenty straight minutes.
I've always been mystified how he was ever considered some sort of serious thinker. He's transparently clownish.
