WOTC's decisions last forever for the secondary market.
There are ways of making "cute" cards like this that aren't a training exception. Duplicating collector number / set symbol ((the thing we train staff to identify)) makes this product significantly harder to sell.

I don't know if I've ever seen a more brutal pack opening disaster. Also, why do people open packs with scissors? Is this a Yugioh thing?

@wizecrax @Soulinagomez @SaffronOlive gloves are actively worse than just making sure you thoroughly wash your hands.... people who handle books hundreds of years old worth millions of dollars have stopped using gloves when handling the pages etc. because they found gloves actually bring more risk of damage.

Every time I see a common or uncommon priced like this, it's a failure of distribution. There needs to be more ways than opening packs to get cards.

@UsagiKaede1 I was about to say just run zulaport cutthroat since the dragon gets saced when animate dead leaves then realized zulaport will be in exile when it's saced. I'm used to doing animate dead with abdel in teysa where you can leave things in play

@NamelessMTG It's acceptable to not shuffle if nothing changes between copies and the player doesn't know any information of the top of their library, the deck is still randomized and no information is known .... Go ahead and call a judge the ruling on the card is there

People that don’t shuffle their library in between their Mind’s Dire copies are cheating and increasing their odds on flipping land off the top. Every time you shuffle you increase your odds of getting a non land.
If someone wants to “shortcut” this process. CALL A JUDGE !!!

Should we have had better candidates better candidates in both instances? No doubt, and I will do my part in making sure we get a great one this time around BUT if we don’t, I’d still vote to stop the MAGA agenda, we cannot afford 8 years of them.
