Jains have been getting unnecessary hate lately — but humanity has no religion, only actions. Look at what one man did. When flights were suddenly stopped and hotel bookings cancelled in the UAE, hundreds of travellers were left stranded with nowhere to go. At that moment, Dheeraj Jain, a businessman originally from Merta City, Rajasthan, opened the gates of his farmhouse in Ajman and turned it into a shelter. Working in the UAE for over 11 years, he arranged free food, accommodation, and transport for stranded Indians after the sudden flight disruptions linked to rising tensions in the region. He even deployed vehicles to bring people safely from Dubai and nearby cities. Today, around 200 Indians are staying there, waiting for flights to resume — all because one person chose humanity over convenience. This is what compassion looks like. 
This is what one Jain did. Let’s appreciate his efforts and spread the message that kindness and service are stronger than hate. There’s a whole list of reasons why this demand isn’t right: 1. Idle phones aren’t truly idle. They constantly ping cell towers to update their location, consuming expensive server processing and bandwidth. 2. Expensive outgoing calls used to subsidize “free” incoming ones. Today’s cheap, unlimited plans wiped out that profit margin. 3. Mobile numbers are scarce, government-leased resources. Operators can’t afford to let non-paying users hoard them. 4. Delivering an incoming call uses your network’s physical towers, cables, and electricity, which someone has to pay for. 5. Zero-revenue users drain resources, making it harder for telecom companies to fund infrastructure upgrades for paying customers. A telecom business, like any free-market enterprise, is a business, not a State-sponsored yojana. Free incoming calls as a non-ARPU customer is an unreasonable, self-entitled, and extremely tone-deaf demand.
