@chrisTHFC13 This might explain his poor distribution, he attempted a long kick the other day and it barely made the half way line and he looked a bit in pain.

Can’t help but think food prices are gonna spike. Around 20% to 30% of the costs of growing crops are fertiliser related. (And around 70% to 90% of the cost to make fertiliser comes from natural gas). 15% to 20% of the costs of growing crops come from diesel/oil.

Remember that phase when a couple of guys opened a cereal cafe in Brick Lane? It closed a few years ago, but... they got so much PR at the time that the domain name recently sold for £80k due to the strength of all the links it had picked up.

Don’t be saying Vicario didn’t deserve to be dropped. He is one of the worst keepers I have seen play for Spurs since I started going 1980’s…

My life insurance is the cost of a Netflix subscription. But if something happens to me, my family will get a payout of hundreds of thousands. I hope a claim never has to be made, but it’s an insurance policy I’m very happy to pay.
tomie@tomieinlove

What exactly is the point of buying insurance? Obviously, I’m going to pay more money than I get back, because otherwise the insurance company wouldn’t turn a profit. But for some reason everyone does it?

After AI takes over my job, I’m going to open a small store that just sells stools. I’ll have a room where you can try them out. It’ll be called the stool sample area.

What is this mentality? It's very sick, and only ever seen it with Brits.

@iamrofe It’s a legitimate question Mr Rofe - no answer was posited, but an enquiring mind might want to consider the ethical and moral arguments. A PR ‘expert’ not so much.

@Ferretgrove I appreciate that you only asked an open ended question. But one day, if you or someone you love is stuck abroad in a crisis, I hope no one argues you’re less deserving of help because of where you’ve lived.

@PaulaCoyscot @Ferretgrove Put it this way. Dubai is home to people from many nationalities, I don’t see people from other nationalities “just asking an open ended question”.

@terriwin No I can’t explain, which is why I asked the question “what is this mentality?” Maybe you know?
