I obviously don’t want to start a war in space but if we have to wade through a billion miles of red tape just to talk about setting up a 5 person moon base we might as well give up and nuke ourselves back to the Stone Age

Hasan isn’t driving a wedge into the party, the failed, repeatedly discredited yet unfortunately still entrenched corporate wing of the party is. They fear the left’s growing power and see Hasan as a way to make us argue amongst ourselves. We shouldn’t fall for it.

New: @hasanthehun is driving a wedge in the Democratic Party. @playbookdc surveyed 14 potential '28 Dem candidates, asking whether they would appear on a livestream with Piker if invited. Only 3 definitively said they would. Plus: my interview w/ Piker. politico.com/newsletters/pl…

At this point the most charitable view of ICE is a make-work program for divorced dads whose kids are glad that mom got full custody

“Looks pretty obvious to me that high-majors need to play mid-majors during the season. They said we ain’t played nobody—we played somebody now. Nobody would play us. just like nobody would play Miami Ohio. But they gotta play us in this tournament.” 🗣️🗣️

Fascinating insight here via @PeterHamby about how young men are viewing the war in Iran. It's not about foreign policy per se, it's anger at the government wasting money on stupid shit and Trump lying to them.

Khameini was, by the standards of the Islamic republic, cautious. Not only was he a handbrake on a nuke - he rejected IRGC proposals to build ballistic missiles that could reach Western Europe. None of this has been explained to a British audience by the media.

Trump hoped that killing Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei would either cause the regime to collapse or push more moderate officials to cooperate with the U.S. Instead, his hard-line son Mojtaba Khamenei took power and vowed revenge, and no internal uprising has challenged the regime. Source: WSJ
