@mattpocockuk As of what to use in node, I’d open a handle and then use filehandle.read(..), it seems the easiest option, and filehandle.stat(…) to figure out length and block length (make your chunks a multiple of that, and align them)

Got an odd requirement. Need to stream a file line-by-line, in reverse order, in Node.
I.e.

Should emit 'c', then 'b', then 'a'.

I know everyone hates them, but I really like code coverage reports.
Especially when working solo (where I don't feel bad about forcing others to work to it) I find it a really helpful linter for missed tests.
I also don't try to 100% everything, just certain important files.

@mattpocockuk @sminnee Sometimes, the interpreter *itself* strips types (deno, or the next version of node - now experimental) so there’s NO .js file at all… requiring imports of an artifact that is possibly produced by TSC is just nonsensical to me…

@mattpocockuk @sminnee Actually it is… the generated extension is a product of the transpilation process: same .ts can be transpiled as .cjs, .mts or .js - depending on what’s actually transpiling and how the transpiler is configured (think esbuild, for example)

Takes 500 cores to do 5,000 requests per second? How about 50,000 per second on my Macbook.
How'd I get it so much faster? Easy. I used JavaScript

Basecamp did 5,250 req/sec at peak yesterday. Mean response time was 90ms. So call that needing 500 cores at max load. If you skipped redundancy, you could probably do that with 3 boxes each running a Z5 192-core AMD chip with room to spare. Servers have gotten crazy fast!
