It’s time to stand with the people of Iran who are fighting for their freedom✌🏻 So where is Greta? Where are the flotilla activists? Where are the self-righteous liberals who have spent the past two years condemning Israel on the streets of London, Stockholm, and New York? Where are the loud, ever-present humanitarians and social justice warriors? They are nowhere to be seen. Because the truth is simple: they never cared about human rights. Their outrage was never about freedom, dignity, or universal values. It was selective political theater masquerading as moral conviction. When the cause is not about spreading chaos in the streets, demonizing Israel, or posing with Palestinian scarves, the sense of urgency suddenly disappears. When women in Iran are beaten, imprisoned, and killed by an Islamist regime, there are no marches. No symbols. No moral sermons. This silence exposes the entire project. For these activists, human rights are not universal principles but props in an ideological performance. They show up where it brings status, visibility, and the “right” enemy—and vanish when the struggle demands courage, consistency, and intellectual honesty. Iran exposes them. And the silence speaks volumes.

@SeanFraserMP I struggle with this comment and the lack of accountability within the governing body that you're part of. CDNs have been demanding tougher laws, tougher sentencing and eliminating the ridiculous way that sentences are evaluated. Your team has ignored it. What's going to change?

This isn’t the Wild West. It’s Canada. Canadians deserve real solutions that make us safer, not slogans that inspire fear and chaos for Pierre’s political survival.

Canadians already have the right to defend themselves under a law Harper brought in, with Poilievre’s support. Now he’s chasing a photo op by attacking police for doing their jobs. I trust police to lay charges and judges to consider evidence over Pierre playing cops & robbers.

A disgusting and cowardly act — Canada’s National Holocaust Monument was defaced overnight. Parliament is just steps away — that’s where dissent belongs. Defacing sacred ground in honour of the millions of victims of the Holocaust in the middle of the night with spray paint isn’t protest, it’s vandalism. Someone this pathetic deserves to be identified and held accountable.

@JustinTrudeau You've been "condemning" things far too long. It's a pathetic deflection to avoid action, to make hard choices that go against preserving a specific voter base in order to do what's right for Western democratic values. We need leadership. We need moral clarity. We need a new PM.

What we saw on the streets of Montreal last night was appalling. Acts of antisemitism, intimidation, and violence must be condemned wherever we see them. The RCMP are in communication with local police. There must be consequences, and rioters held accountable.

@MACCMuslims Riiight....and telling children to wear blue because they're "colonizers" while shouting antisemtic comments is educational. This is unacceptable and not tolerated here. If you want to be taken seriously you need to be willing to stand against immoral acts. This is/was wrong.

It’s concerning when the Minister of Education advocates to take away valuable learning opportunities from students. Civic engagement and advocacy are crucial educational experiences, and all voices deserve equal support- even the non-white ones ☮️
Jill Dunlop@JillDunlop1

I am deeply disappointed by yesterday’s events. Compromising the security and safety of students is unacceptable. I expect TDSB to conduct a thorough review of the situation and ensure accountability with parents and students to prevent future incidents.

Radical Islamist preacher Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem is a security risk to 🇨🇦. He is currently touring the country giving lectures and participating in various other events. Al-Hakeem represents a danger to the Jewish community - he encourages division, amplifies vile antisemitic rhetoric, and spreads extremist ideologies that have no place in our society and alongside our values. This visit is also part of a trend in which radical Islamist, antisemitic and homophobic speakers are being invited to visit Canada to hold events. The public and the authorities must understand that, beyond the attack on our community, these despicable and toxic ideologies are forced on all of us as Canadians. Hatemongers like Sheikh Assim Al-Hakeem should not be allowed to enter our country to promote their evil agenda. Period!

I don't know which is more appalling: a terrorist sympathizer shouting to a large crowd that anyone supporting Israel should be annihilated and urging people to sacrifice their lives for this cause, or the fact that in Canada today, such blatant incitement to hatred and encouragement of terrorism is permitted. Canada has now become a nation where learning to be a terrorist and thriving on hate is tolerated. This is an outrage, and we must not stand for it. We must reclaim our values and ensure that our country does not become a breeding ground for such vile ideologies.
Natasha Montreal@NatashaMontreal

It's a death cult. Why are they in Canada? Terrorist sympathizers' "Night of rage" in Montréal. #GoIDF #AmYisraelChai

Check out this thread from @DominicCardy. This is what leadership looks like. There is a significant shortage of it today. He's clearly and with courage stepped into the breach. Stay tuned. You'll be hearing more from him shortly. A lot more.

So, Thursday evening I was arrested at a Toronto rally for chanting "Free Palestine - from Hamas"-while Hamas enthusiasts trampled an Israeli flag. A brief 🧵 My parents taught me - don't be a bystander. That's never been more important than this week, with synagogues burning.

@thehazelmae Bo is out. Manoah is out. Tiedemann can't be called up because he's out. Martinez just got in, but is now out. Springer has been in, but playing like he's on out. Kiermier's has been basically out. Vogelbach is out. Votto was never in, but is out. Atkins should be....out.

@whocare40080374 @josephdzita @BlueJays Your right, but he also inherited a WS-contending team that had generationally impactful talent on it. He walked into a dream scenario but I think the difference is he executed and put his stamp on the team to push it over the top. He's grown a lot since the Jays. Atkins hasn't.

@josephdzita @BlueJays Welcome to the world of Ross Atkins! Is it any wonder why Cleveland got rid of him + Shapiro and nobody else wanted them? They infect every team they touch. Meanwhile, AA has gone on to build multiple WS-contending teams. Incredible.

@BlueJays You're on your third manager since Atkins took over and the story is consistently worse. Schneider may be a scapegoat, but the track record is the same. The management's 'process' dictates most of the manager's decisions and the culture that flows organisationally.

@BlueJays 2 for 13 with runners in scoring position. Same story, different year. Refusal to acknowledge or act different. The 'process' only works if it can be executed. This management struggles to pivot when things don't work.

@FarheenMahmood2 @juliedabrusin Fact: Hamas is a terrorist organization that kidnapped, raped, tortured and murdered Jews on October 7, 2023. You can oppose the bombing of Palestine AND oppose Hamas. Showing up at his house is not protest, it's intimidation.

Remind everyone — which embassy, consulate, government office, legislative building is at this specific intersection in Toronto? Seems like the target is a Jewish neighbourhood, because it is. Gutless politicians say the words to your boss — not to Twitter. If you break the law you should be punished. Apply the law to everyone who breaks it equally. Stop emboldening the antisemitism you’ve ignored for 3 months. Start there. #cdnpoli

Due to public safety concerns, the Avenue Road Bridge will be closed. There will be no access to Avenue Road from Highway 401. Police are on scene to enforce this in order to keep demonstrators, counter-demonstrators, and passing traffic safe. Stay tuned for re-opening details.

@dttreska @MLBNetwork I like Chappy, but you're spot on. He's an incredible defender but struggled with the high fastball and driving in runs when it mattered. If you're a team in need of run prevention at the hot corner, he's your guy. Maybe he turns the hitting around in a different lineup.
