I don't know. If you have to "discover" that your great-great-grandfather was Italian, what does that really mean beyond just having a tiny amount of Italian DNA in you?
Clearly, her great-grandparent chose not to marry an Italian or keep any Italian culture alive (otherwise, Swift would have known from her earliest memories that she was Italian).
There comes a point where the connection has been so broken that it's not really discovering your ethnicity, just another link in your family tree.

I'm relatively neutral about taking Greenland. It would be both beneficial and cool for America to annex it. It's also hilarious to own the horrible Eurocrats who ruined their own countries. At the same time, we can get most of what we want from Greenland while allowing Denmark to keep it and, despite the satisfaction of trolling libtard Eurocrats, it's still valuable to keep Europe on our side. I was in the process of doing this myself as my great grandfather came to the USA via Ellis Island in 1913 and my grandfather was born before he naturalized and I qualified under the old law. A distant relative was a famous architect and has a piazza named after her. Now they will have an African instead of an Aulenti.
