@mxochai Yes. You are right. There are efficient ways to learn, to watch movies, to read books, to do just about anything. Recently I was able to clock it.

A few days ago, someone commented this on my post and it has stayed with me till now. He said, “Learning always doesn’t seem like learning.. you learnt how to learn and that made all the difference!” I paused and reflected for a minute. Damn. That struck deep. The truth is that he’s absolutely right. Being an avid learner is what has brought me this far. When I look back at everything I’ve built, every skill I’ve picked up, every setback I turned around… none of it would’ve been possible if I hadn’t fallen in love with the process of learning itself. I’m not even talking about just consuming information. Actually learning how to learn is a different ball game. Staying curious when it was inconvenient. Going back to basics when I was lost. Asking questions that made me look like a beginner, even when I wasn’t one anymore. Unfortunately, it’s something nobody really talks about. That skill behind the skills. If you’re on a journey right now and feel like you’re not moving fast enough… maybe the question isn’t “what do I need to learn?” Maybe it’s “how am I learning it?” That shift changed everything for me. Still does.

On the other side of loneliness, is growth. On the other side of boredom, is mastery. On the other side of sacrifice, is success. You can’t desire the outcome and not be willing to pay the price.

My bag got stolen in a London pub, while I was guarding everyone's bags.😂 After work, we stopped at a pub. I wasn't drinking, so I became the unofficial security guard for the table. And I did what thieves wait for: I turned my head for a normal conversation. When I looked back, my bag was gone. It had my laptop, bank cards, keys, everything. Me!!! The “Lagos boy” who prides himself on street sense. 😅 Instant anger and self-blame. But the next morning, I walked into work smiling. My colleagues were shocked: "Did you find your bag?" "No." "So why are you smiling?" I said : If I was on a sinking ship and throwing the bag overboard kept the ship afloat… I would throw it. If it was an armed robbery, your bag or your life. I will choose life. Every time. Your loss is only as big as the reference point you measure it against. Don’t donate extra days of your peace to what already happened. Most losses are not tragedies. They are tuition fees, and you get to decide whether you pay with money… or pay again with your joy. If this resonates, share with someone you love, and follow for more life lessons

🚨Update! UBA now claims the ₦207,447 debit was for Grammarly Pro. I have never subscribed, never used my card on Grammarly, and my account is still on FREE If I paid, where is the Pro access? Also @ShishirMehrotra my bank said I paid for grammarly pro and it is nowhere to be found on the Gmail account you said i used to pay. Now they said you won't refund me back my money. Why exactly?? The account is on free plan and I don't use grammarly. Why should I pay for something I don't use at all?? @UBACares @UBAGroup @TonyElumeluFDN

July 2023. I had just finished uni. I was broke broke. I had a plan but I couldn't afford it. I was scared of begging people for money, because I felt nobody was going to believe how hard it is to survive in Nigeria without knowing anyone. Calling people and they already know I'm coming to beg for money 💔😩, I was just there. Confused. Devastated and Hungry. Finally picked a skill and decided to settle for it but now I need data and food to survive, cuz my parents ain't rich. So I tweeted something random on my other X account: “Unlimited data, steady power supply, and good rice and stew is all I need right now.” Because that day I was so hungry. A stranger lady slid into my DMs. She asked if I was okay. She bought me data, and food Not long after that, my laptop started failing completely. And out of nowhere, this same stranger sent me almost half a million money to buy a laptop, I cried. I was scared it didn't feel real I hadn't met her before. That laptop changed my life. I locked in like a mad dog. That same laptop helped me go from #700 naira total to crossing over $15,000 after 2 years of knowing her and I have also bought others laptop too lovely you know. That same laptop helped me learn skills and made my first million and also teach other people how to make their first million naira, and built this account from zero to almost 60k followers, There were times she needed my help too, and I showed up. Because real support goes both ways. Till today, it still feels unreal. A random tweet. A stranger help. A laptop, data. A life reset. I still haven't met her before. She is the reason this account exists..

What’s the craziest experience you’ve had with money that sounds totally made up, but is 100% true?

I shouldn't address this 🤣, but for anyone in uni following me sometimes you need to learn, For most part of life, I was just trying to survive. I came from a "very poor background", and every bit of money I had went to basic needs. Food. Rent. Staying afloat. Dating to me then felt like a luxury I wasn’t capable of affording most things. Not because it has to be transactional but I have always been a guy that loves to share and enjoy every moment that comes but I was too broke to afford it. (Maybe if Nigeria was better could have done that long term ago) Love was always on my mind, but I couldn’t do the cute things. I couldn’t spend. I couldn’t treat anyone the way I wanted to. I kept telling myself, my time will come. Don’t rush it, I love aesthetics. Shout out to trenches love, but I love it clean here, EJOOR. I’m getting older every day, yes, but I’m grateful I finally experienced this. I worked hard to get here. And to the lady that went out with me She’s beautiful, kind, and sweet. For years, I never believed my life could change this much. Tech opened doors for me. It changed my confidence. I used to be shy and scared. Now I believe in myself. And that's why I love to help people so they can also believe that it's possible to do great things without knowing anyone. People say you can date when you’re broke, and that’s true for some. But my brokenness was poverty someone with 700 naira in their account can never think of a date lmao 🤣. Being able to afford things I once only wished for feels beautiful. Yesterday was the longest I've used a fork and knife lmao after watching several videos before going for the date not used to that 🤣🙂‍↔️. For someone who came from nothing, that means everything more new things to explore I'm happy I'm experiencing this If you’re reading this, don’t rush your journey. Take it one step at a time. Your time will come too. Just have a skill and learn how to sell yourself. Broke ones will rise again. 🌹❤️
