It's 30°C in parts of Britain today. And the animals are struggling.☀️ Dairy cows in Cumbria are drinking twice as much water. Milk yields are dropping. Farmers are out there at 3am moving livestock to shade. This isn't just a heatwave. This is another challenge for British farming. The Irish government has already issued guidance - no transporting animals in the hottest part of the day. What has the UK government said? Nothing new. East of England just had one of the driest Aprils on record. Crops already planted are failing. This current hot spell is making everything worse. A Lincolnshire arable farmer told the BBC his wheat is suffering. That wheat becomes your bread. Your pasta. Your breakfast cereal. One more week of this and thousands of acres of British crops will be written off. Temperatures are rising. So are costs. More water for livestock. More diesel for ventilation. More stress on the farmer. The weather is getting harder. The government is getting quieter. This isn’t to scaremonger, and it’s nothing British farmers haven’t weathered before (excuse the pun), just an opportunity to ask the question… Is anyone in Westminster paying attention to what 32°C means for your food?

Deploying to Australia at the beginning of 2026, she was ordered to somewhere in the Indian Ocean (it is presumed) after the Iran War erupted in late Feb, then sailed into Gibraltar about a week ago. Heading for the UK after a few days alongside, it was speculated HMS Anson would be needing some kind of maintenance period. Devonport Dockyard is the main place for such work. please keep anon. Currently in my last week of army service and I apparently owe 40 pounds sqn funds despite opting out . The sgt maj has said if I don’t pay up he will refuse to clear me for civvy life, told my CoC if I go on my pre-approved leave I will be arrested for being AWOL. He has also threatened to take me to small claims court if not paid. Has anyone got any guidance for me as I’m at a loss?

The EFL haven’t just punished us; they’ve ruined us. In addition to losing half our team, we’ll be sued for many, many millions by players, sponsors & rival teams. We’re essentially facing years of decline and pain on and off the pitch. Thats why this is disproportionate.
