Hey Mendy! I'm a mental health clinician and I work with suicidal patients every day If they're in a state where they're actively thinking about suicide and have a plan (how, where, when) and they have a time frame of around 24 hours, don't think twice call the police If they're thinking about suicide but they don't have a plan yet, it's important to have an open conversation with them. There is always one or more triggers going on, help them identify them. From there, I invite you to call your local crisis centers and ask if they can assess the case of the person and have them go to the center for 3-4 days. I hope this helps, if you have any questions my DM's are always open!

Suicidal ideation due to mental illness is when you’re already dead inside and want the body to follow because its heartbeat is only prolonging the pain. Pay attention to the warning signs of a loved one in distress and act accordingly because hesitation could lead to a funeral.

Every day I wake up now and feel so grateful for anti-depressants. The farther I get out of depression the more I realize how bad it was. How dangerous a situation I was in. I wish I’d known a family doctor or OB can prescribe, I thought only a psychiatrist (3 month wait) could.
