Tank @IEF_Dialogue & @ief_sg very much for including me in the IEF Industry Advisory Council Meeting. It was a great honour to chair the important session on the role of #CriticalMinerals for #energytransition & the #energy #sector as a whole. We had a really good discussion!

At the 16th IEA–IEF–OPEC Symposium, chaired by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, the discussions were rich, sober, and timely. One moment stood out: after several tense years, it was encouraging to see a genuine thaw between @OPECSecretariat and the @IEA with an amicable exchange between HRH Prince Abdulaziz and @fbirol. In a fragmented global landscape, dialogue still matters and the @IEF_Dialogue role as a trusted convener, under the leadership of @ief_sg is more important than ever.

The Symposium, held at the magnificent @KAPSARC campus, marked the release of the @IEF_Dialogue Outlooks Comparison Report, which systematically compares the annual energy outlooks of the IEA and OPEC and informed the day’s discussions.

The dialogue among senior decision-makers, analysts, and industry leaders reaffirmed the importance of trilateral cooperation between the IEA, IEF, and OPEC at a time of heightened uncertainty for global energy systems.

It was a pleasure to host on 4th February the 16th IEA–IEF–OPEC Symposium on Energy Outlooks, alongside esteemed colleagues from the @IEA and @OPECSecretariat and under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, Minister of Energy of Saudi Arabia.

This cooperation remains essential to supporting stable markets, informed decision-making, and just and resilient energy transitions. I am grateful to all participants for their candid contributions and continued commitment to dialogue. #EnergyDialogue #IEF #IEA #OPEC
