#Letterkenny continues to grow at a rapid pace. It's population is likely to hit 30,000 within the next decade or so - by which time it will be the largest town in the Republic without rail

@niall_mcc9 In fairness to Barry Cassidy, he hasn't been the same since Drew Wylie retired. Doesn't know where to channel his anger now. 🙈😅

@AndrewAFC89 Wtaf!!! Martinelli was a prick of the highest order. I'm a urd fan and never want to see Liverpool do well, but jesus christ, martinelli is/was a prick. Just call it for what it is.
English

@meaningfulbloke I'm a utd fan, but martinelli is a prick. Lad clearly injured, and martinelli throws ball at him and pushes him when injured. Scumbag.

@Rob84093168 58 yd field goal is about 50/50 at max. Look at length of field goals he scored. The problem is offense leaving fg unit too far. Need to be in the under 50 yd range where percentages goes well up for most kickers. Last 3 misses have oncluded 61, 58 and 48 in a, windy day.

Charlie Smyth’s fg loses the game for #saints
That’s becoming concerning as we go into offseason

@Peterok539470 No Tyrone team has won senior all Ireland club. Errigal only Tyrone team to win ulster. Tyrone cship is competitive but the frantic nature of it lends to many mistakes, which are punished at top level. Dublin team will be favs. My tip would be ballyboden.
English

@GAAjuggernaut Another damp squib. Tyrone had terrible cship last year - Loughmacrory Dungannon qtrs was only real good match. Few other games were close, including Final, but lacked real quality. Much more excitement in intermediate. Need a top game over the weekend to liven things, up.
English

@CahairOKane1 Noone of standing wants that job. County board wanted rid of backroom team, and made tallys position untenable. What top mgr wants Co board interfering like that. Absolute shambles.
English

@teamtalkmagLIVE It's definitely true.. Owen mulligan is also there, has went blonde again and is in line to play for the u20s.
English

@ConanDoherty Balls. 8 teams will play at Croke park next week. The only chance many players will ever have to play there. The GAA have devalued the league by their actions. Now we'll watch rubbish football for weeks in provincials til maybe semi finals of all Ireland. Let the league flourish

@ausphil12 @RupertLowe10 Hilarious, And my wife's a teacher. Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

@iegeek969 @RupertLowe10 Of course rules make society work. That is why we did have a high trust society. Now we don't. Good times make weak men. Weak men make hard times. That's what we are seeing now. FAFO

Parents should be allowed to take their children out of school for a very limited number of days per year, over reasons they choose.
Let's show a bit of common sense here. The prices are so wildly different out of term time, it is often the difference between a family being able to afford a decent holiday abroad, or not go at all.
Will a child missing a week of school a year damage their education? Perhaps, a little. Will that quality time spent with their family more than compensate? Yes, yes it will.
And that is a decision for the parents to take, not the state.
I have pushed the Department on this, with zero progress. They just don't want to know.
Let's remember - MPs have very generous time off from Westminster, timed to coincide with the school holidays.
Others do not have that same luxury, particularly in areas that are reliant on tourism - like my constituency
All of this from the same people who shut schools for months when the virus posed almost zero risk to children, and were desperate to do it for longer. Forcing boys and girls to learn from a kitchen table, and many had no access to proper outdoor space.
THAT did far more damage to children's education than a few days away in the sun with their family.
PLEASE. Let's just show a modicum of common sense, FOR ONCE.
If parents want to take their child out of school for a limited period of time, very occasionally, as they believe that experience will benefit their son or daughter?
I say that's their choice.
English

@ausphil12 @RupertLowe10 You must be great fun at a party Phil. Rules male society work 😂! I literally take my children out of school when I want. Just ring and say they are sick. Two of them were so sick yest, they enjoyed a day out seeing sabrina carpenter. Best day of my life said my 15 Yr old.
English

@RupertLowe10 No, you are wrong here. Taking children out of class disrupts the WHOLE class and makes it harder for the teachers. Can't anybody stick to any rules these days? Rules make society work

@FendedO1916 @dhoneyford @UlsterGAA Waste of feckin money. £260 million jarlath said - so will be £300 million. For what? - 2/3 games a year. Build Antrim gaa a great facility like owenheg/garvaghey out the M2. Main pitch with 8,000 capacity and training fields, gyms etc. Far more useful.
English

Speaking to Brian McAvoy @UlsterGAA CEO at conference: “Casement Park should be built now to allow games to be enjoyed on it & not used by the Minister to play political games with. Ulster GAA should be in no doubt of Alliance’s commitment and support to finally see Casement Park delivered”
English

@quintin_qs @dhoneyford @UlsterGAA White elephant. already have one of them in cork. Build antrim a setup like owenbeg somewhere out the M2, main ground capacity of 8,000, and half a dozen training fields. Spend another 20/30 million on modernising omagh/Armagh. Gaa spends their own money in clones.
English

@dhoneyford @UlsterGAA Publish timeline on all executive decisions on a dashboard to allow voters to assess progress. Grassroots doubts over the likes of Casement ever being built are growing and meanwhile many young players have missed out on the opportunity to play in such facilities.
English

@JeromeQuinn @LadiesFootball @UlsterLadies Great coverage . The defensive system by Loreto is super.. I can see how cavan schools and county are dominating underage. My girls are at Smg but Loreto were just too good. A little point - it's not Smg's first A final. We're the present u14s holders, beating cavan on the way.

Live and Free.. your Tuesday night is sorted!
It’s the @LadiesFootball version of the MacRory Cup Final except it’ll be a better game with lots of goals 😂🏆

@day156324 @Juliest101 Not be the end of it. What else is on the WhatsApp group. Pretty sure it'll just not be him. A load more will come out in next few weeks.
English

@Juliest101 Yes agree, love him or hate him but nobody can say Starmer pisses around when it comes to wronguns, wonder if Andrew Gwynne joined the wrong party ? As he'd fit in very well with Reform by the sounds of it
English

@CahairOKane1 improved game,so much of the good comes from so little. Solo and go, 3 men up, throw up. Kickouts at juvenile level be a disaster for weaker team, at senior will lead to more injuries. 2 point arc will become 40% of total in no time like basketball and game played around arc.
English

Column: In stoppage time of last year’s All-Ireland final, Galway kept the ball for 2 mins 46 secs. If they had been from Ulster and played the football they played last year they’d have been kicked from pillar to post. Nobody will ever play that way again

@bbarrymurphy @officialgaa The first issue was kerry had only 2 up before the Derry man crossed the line. He was running back knowing his mistake. That's what the crowd were angry with. Now imagine this, in a club game without neatral officials.
