The west doesn’t understand that many parts of the world don’t rely on cards for payments… Idk how this isn’t discussed more but @JupGlobal is the only fintech to offer the best of both worlds - cards and QR code payments across several countries! 1 app to use at cards at retailers, buy lunch at the local hawker via paynow and while travelling! Even local banks don’t offer this UX. Tbh, this could make it the best Asia travel payments app? QR code is not supported on Wise, meaning I must always get cash out.

I see this kind of question a lot, especially from people who haven't ever lived in Dubai or UAE. I often get accusations myself that I am paid to say these things (I would love to be paid for it, but I can assure you I am not) The reality is, I think most people are so accustomed to the concept of having something to criticise about their government and where they stay that they find it unfathomable that people can actually truly like where they stay and the government that takes care of them. So much so, that it starts to look like a "cult" or "propaganda" of some kind. And perhaps somewhere deep down this may even originate from the notion that the only systems that are ever meant to work are the ones adopted and proliferated by the west. But if anything, the shifts over the past few decades are testament to the fact that this is no longer true. One doesn't choose where they are born and that is why its normal to be born in an imperfect place. But if you're privileged enough, you get to choose where you want to stay and you CAN choose a perfect place and for me, UAE is about as perfect as it gets right now. 🇦🇪
